The cornavirus is mutating. There’s a new strain in the UK that is 70% more contagious. London went on lockdown and cancelled Christmas. Governor Cuomo of New York says it’s on a plane headed straight for JFK airport. Meanwhile, selfish Americans are traveling and shopping and partying it up as if there wasn’t a deadly pandemic and bragging about all of the fun they’re having on social media. Selfish selfie culture.

Dr. Deborah Birx, Trump’s pandemic response coordinator, traveled to one of her homes in Delaware the day after Thanksgiving, blowing off her own guidelines recommending that people avoid travel and large family gatherings.
Marci Rubio jumped the line to get the vaccine. He’s not in a high risk category and he certainly isn’t essential. Republicans shouldn’t be getting the vaccine at all after they politicized the pandemic and caused so much death and suffering. They don’t deserve the life saving vaccine. Let the party die off so we can evolve already.

5 members of the House tested positive last week — 4 Republicans and 1 Democrat.
Matt Gaetz cut in line ahead of front line workers to get the vaccine even though he wore a gas mask on the House floor mocking Democrats for wearing masks and partied it up with maskless hot girls and posted about it on social media.
Senator Ron Johnson says the Trump Plague is an act of God.
Tennessee has hit 6,000 deaths. It has a 30.46% test positivity rate (the WHO recommends below 5%) and the Republican Governor, Bill Lee won’t issue a mask mandate.
Republican governor of Texas, Greg Abbott says NO MORE SHUTDOWNS even though 100,000 Texans tested positive last week.
Right wing extremist group Turning Point USA had it’s third annual winter ball at Mar-a-Lago this weekend. Tickets started at $2,000 and were sold out. Guests of honor were Laura Ingraham, Charlie Kirk and Rand Paul.
1 in 5 inmates in the US is infected with the coronavirus and over 1,700 have died. The only people who care are the people who love them.
If the new Congress or the DOJ don’t investigate everybody who let people die from the coronavirus, can the families of the deceased file a class action suit against Trump, the GOP, and the so called Covid task force for wrongful death?
Congress is going to pass a $90 billion stimulus bill today. Too little too late. Americans are expected to get $600 a person after receiving twice that amount soon after things shut down in the spring with a $2.3 trillion aid bill. All other first world countries have done way more than that for their citizens. The Republican controlled Senate has strung the American people along for 7 months after the Democrats in the House passed the Heroes Act, forcing many out of their homes. More people are hungry now than since the Great Depression. Mitch McConnell is responsible for all of this unnecessary suffering because he wouldn’t let the Senate take up the bill from the House.
The Republicans’ indifference and defiance is only made worse by a president who is preoccupied with his own freedom, survival, and vendettas.
The Washington Post interviewed 50 members of Trump’s inner circle, including members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, and concluded that Trump has totally checked out and given up. He’s “done with covid.” 30 more days of this dark, uncertain, deadly despair.
