A Storm Brewing

The mayor of Tampa, Florida said if people don’t leave who are in an evacuation zone they’re going to die. Hurricane Milton is one of the most powerful hurricanes in history. It’s building in the Gulf of Mexico and will pummel the entire state of Florida. People are still cleaning up the mess that Hurricane Helene left a week ago.

Weather casters have broken down into tears as they report on what’s to come.

For the first time in history, three massive hurricanes are tearing through the Atlantic all at the same time. A 20 feet of storm surge is expected. That means climbing on top of one’s roof to keep from drowning will be pointless.

The oceans have heated up because of global warming. Climate change is real and headed for Florida and the Republicans are still dismissing it as liberal BS.

Awhile back Trump summoned top lobbyists and executives from the oil and gas industry to Mar-a-Lago and solicited a $1 billion bribe in exchange for rolling back all climate regulations and letting the industry run wild in his second term. Democrats called for a congressional investigation.

Climate change is creating swamps and lakes in Siberia where the earth is warming faster than almost anywhere else, making land difficult to live on.

Insurance companies have stopped covering natural disasters because of climate change.

President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act was the largest climate rescue investment by any country ever.

The entire state of Florida is under either a tropical storm warning or hurricane warning. Governor Ron DeSantis is refusing to take calls from President Joe Biden or Vice President Kamala Harris to talk about emergency assistance because they’re Democrats. He’s literally playing politics with people’s lives. House Speaker Mike Johnson is, too. He is refusing to call the House back into order to vote for disaster assistance specifically for Hurricane Milton because that would help Biden.

Ron DeSantis signed a bill that deleted climate change back in May.

Republicans would rather let their constituents suffer and die rather than thank a Democrat.

Republicans are spreading a conspiracy theory that there is no money for hurricane relief because it’s being sent to Ukraine and illegal immigrants. This is a big fat lie. The lie is so egregious that no reasonable person would believe it but people who vote Republican are not reasonable. A quick Google search would debunk this latest conspiracy theory but they’re too lazy and gullible to do that.

Governor Bill Lee of Tennessee called his fellow Republicans out publicly for making up lies and acknowledged that FEMA was doing a great job.

Trump attended a remembrance event for the one year anniversary of Hamas attacking Israel then made a speech about stuff he knows nothing about and did his little dance at the end to the tune of YMCA.

Trump is holding a rally in Aurora, Colorado on Friday. Aurora is s supposedly the place that is being taken over by Venezuelan gangs according to Trump. It’s all bullshit and the mayor has said as much but Trump is going to go into the line of imaginary fire and hold a MAGA rally because he wants to heap another huge helping of bullshit on the mountain of bullshit he’s created so far.

Trump’s strategy is to be loud and obnoxious until November 5. His outright lies are meant to turn people off so much that they turn off to politics altogether and blow off voting. He’s making it impossible to know the truth.

Liz Cheney endorsed Kamala Harris at a rally in Wisconsin. She’s never voted for a Democrat before. “A broad coalition has been brought together to support Kamala Harris.
