The House Ethics Committee released its 37-page report on former Congressman Matt Gaetz. There weren’t any surprises. He had sex with a minor, paid tens of thousands dollars for sex and did illicit drugs. He helped the minor get a passport so he could fly her away to some exotic place but the committee didn’t find enough evidence to prove that he was a sex trafficker. He didn’t really force any girls to travel with him. They were willing participants. He used a special personal email address to conduct his sex and drugs transactions — at least 20 times. And he did it on his government computer, on government time, in a government office. The committee’s official conclusion was that it found “substantial evidence” that Gaetz violated House rules and laws “prohibiting prostitution, statutory rape, illicit drug use, acceptance of impermissible gifts, the provision of special favors and privileges, and obstruction of Congress.” Trump wanted this guy to be the top cop in America. Nobody in the Trump Camp will hold this against Matt Gaetz or Trump. This news won’t hurt either one of them politically. It actually helps.
Senator Rand Paul called for Elon Musk to be the next Speaker. He can do it, too. You don’t have to be a member of Congress and you have to have been a citizen for 7 years. He’s been a citizen since 2002. Prior to that he worked illegally in the United States but since he is rich everybody ignores that.
Elon Musk wanted the government to shut down until the inauguration.
Elon Musk is buying his way into British and German politics.
People have been calling Elon Musk President Musk and it’s getting to Trump. He said, “No, he’s not going to be president, that I can tell you…….And I’m safe. You know why he can’t be? He wasn’t born in this country.” He posted a notice too, announcing that he is the president-elect and Elon Musk is not.
Democrats saved the day again. There was no government shutdown, even though that’s what Trump wanted.
Every government shutdown over the past 30 years was when the Republicans had control of the House.
Trump is running the government without being president yet. He is threatening Republicans on Truth Social. Elon Musk is telling them what to do on X. Meanwhile, the mainstream media is kissing up to both so they can maintain “access.”
Trump made his first speech since winning the election at the Turning Point Action conference. He spoke for about an hour and the crowd went crazy. He brought up the culture war that he and the Republicans started. On the poor kids who have been thrust into the center of the Republican war on wokeness, Trump said “With the stroke of my pen on day one we are gonna stop the transgender lunacy, and I will sign executive orders to end child sexual mutilation, get transgender out of the military and out of our elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools.” He says the official government policy will be there are only 2 genders. Transgenders who have struggled to live authentically at great personal risk, are now in serious danger because they were used as one target for MAGA’s war on everything.
Trump says he won’t do business with any country that won’t take their citizens back after he kicks them out of the country.
Governor Gavin Newsom called for a special session for the state legislature to pass increased environmental protections, reproductive rights protections, and civil rights protections for California residents. He wants this done before Trump is inaugurated plus he’s asking for them to set aside resources to pay for legal fees when Trump seeks his revenge. He wants the people of his state to be extra protected against the president of the United States.

A Republican member of Congress, Victoria Spartz from Indiana, says she won’t caucus with the Republicans until they get their shit together. This brings the total possible count tied at 216.
Republican congresswoman, Kate Granger, hasn’t been showing up for work for 6 months and nobody told Speaker Johnson. Either that or he knows and let it go. She was found living in a dementia care facility in Texas. Not only did her staff and family not notify Congress, they all continued to collect paychecks while NO ONE was working. That’s wage theft. It’s fraud. Kate Granger was one of the Republicans who spent the Fourth of July in Moscow 6 years ago.
Trump is threatening Panama with taking control of the Panama Canal. This pissed the president of Panama off. He responded by making a video in Spanish saying the canal will remain in Panama’s control. Then Trump posted a photo of a boat going through the canal with the American flag and the caption, “We’ll see about that.”
Trump is deciding how much to invade Mexico.
Trump wants to conquer Greenland.
