Back In The USSR Timeline Part 13 — The Mueller Report
The Mueller investigation went on for 2 years — 2,800 subpoenas, 19 lawyers, 40 FBI agents, 500 search warrants, 230 orders from communication records, 50 orders authorizing use of pen registers, 13 requests to foreign governments for evidence, and 500 witnesses. Trump accused Bob Mueller of treason for investigating him.
The Mueller Report is about political corruption and the obstruction of justice by the President of the United States. The investigation did not find enough evidence to press criminal charges due to Trump’s refusal to cooperate, too many witnesses lied, and the lack of precedence for indicting a sitting president. Instead, Mueller organized his report in such a way that it could be used by Congress to impeach him.
600 federal prosecutors signed on to a letter that said if Trump was anybody else, he would have already been indicted.
Trump committed high crimes and misdemeanors. Bob Mueller laid out Trump’s involvement with witness tampering, conspiracy and his abuse of power, and the campaign cooperating with a foreign power to win the election. The Mueller Report can be used by an impeachment team or to charge him after he left office.
Russia started infiltrating American social media platforms in 2014. They attacked not only the presidential election but other elections as well. They gave money to Republican campaigns. Trump was a gift that kept on giving. The Russians were able to easily and swiftly attach their operation to the Trump campaign because he was compromised and everybody around him was easily duped and bribed. Russia hacked information about Hillary and her campaign and gave that stolen information to WikiLeaks to pass on to Trump. Russia bought ads and created fake social media accounts and groups to trick people into thinking they were interacting with like minded individuals to get them to hate on Hillary and the Democrats. Their fake posts got retweeted and shared by millions of people plus Trump and the Republicans. The Russians organized rallies and events for Trump. They started conspiracy theories. A Republican operative, Peter Smith, ended up killing himself after telling the Washington Post that he contacted hackers to get Hillary’s emails on behalf of the Trump campaign. Trump’s campaign coordinated dumps with WikiLeaks. Mueller called it Information Warfare. It was a military level attack by Russia. The President of the United States not only didn’t defend the country, he defended Putin and Russia.
Part 1 of the Mueller Report is about the Trump campaign, conspiracy and Russian interference. Part 2 is about Trump obstructing justice and the case for impeachment.
Without reading the report, the Republicans said the report found “no evidence” of collusion and therefore the whole investigation was a sham. They called for an investigation into the investigated.
Republicans used Trump in the same way that the Russians did. Putin used him to weaken democracy in America and the world and the Republicans got him to sign off on their tax plan and judges.
When Obama wanted to go public about Russia, Mitch McConnell threatened him not to do it. He took to the Senate floor to accuse the Democrats of being sore losers and using the Mueller Report to re-litigate the election and that it was time to put an end to the nonsense. After his traitor speech, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi said, “There is a dark connection in Washington between Senator McConnell, Attorney General Barr, and President Trump.”
Trump’s press secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders released a statement that said that Trump invoked executive privilege over the Mueller Report. They revoked press passes to favor reporters who reported what they told them to report, flattered Trump and didn’t ask any questions.
The Trump administration — a criminal president, a corrupt attorney general, a hostile foreign power inside the US government, a press secretary who lied to the press, and an entire political party that protected them all.
