Bath Time for Criminals
Trump pardoned a bunch of people, mostly white men convicted of crimes he is accused of to send the message to criminals currently in line to go to jail for him that it’s no big deal — he’s the most powerful man in the world and can just pardon them if they have any legal trouble. He told reporters, “I’m actually the chief law enforcement officer.”
America is in legal trouble without anybody to call because the president is the chief law enforcement officer and the attorney general agrees.
The pardoned and commuted criminals are: Edward DeBartolo, Jr, Michael Milken, Ariel Friedler, Bernard Kerik, Paul Pogue, David Safavian, Angela Stanton, Rod Blagojevich, Tynice Nichole Hall, Crystal Munoz, and Judith Negron. He’s letting Trump branded criminals know that pardons will be given out like bedtime chocolates at a Trump hotel. He’s drawing the bath water now. Here, have some Trump brand chocolate and let me turn down your bed for you.
Edward DeBartolo, Jr. is a former 49ers executive who plead guilty in a huge extortion case. He’s a mafia crime boss — mostly construction projects in New York during Trump’s rise to fame in the 70s and 80s. They controlled Atlantic City. Trump probably owes him lots of favors. A pardon is just a couple of poker chips and a Trump branded chocolate.
Michael Milken is a former junk bond king who was the face of the insider trading financial scandals of the 1980s. Time will tell how much Trump himself was even involved in the same scandals.
Ariel Friedler is a technology entrepreneur who plead guilty in 2014 to conspiracy to access a protected computer without authorization kind of like what Russia did.
Bernard Kerik is the former criminal police commissioner of New York. He got his start as Rudy’s bodyguard and chauffeur and was appointed to police commissioner while Rudy was mayor of New York. Kerik is a former member of Mar-a-Lago. A police commissioner could never afford a membership at Trump’s club without some help. He was committed on corruption charges (just like Trump,) tax fraud (just like Trump,) construction fraud (just like Trump,) lying to the IRS (just like Trump) and lying to White House officials (just like Trump.) Trump pardoned him because Rudy is under investigation and he wants all of the criminals under investigation for their role in criming with Rudy to know that he’ll pardon them too if they get busted plus he’s sending a message that everything that Kerik did isn’t a crime if the president does it (calling up the ghost of Nixon.)
Paul Pogue is a construction company owner who plead guilty for filing false tax returns just like Trump. He only got probation and some fines but Trump pardoned him anyway because he’s just like Trump. Pardon me? No, pardon you.
David Safavian worked for George W. Bush and went to jail for a year for covering up his ties to convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff. Safavian was convicted of obstruction of justice and making false statements just like a lot of people who work for Trump eventually will be. Message? Don’t worry about it. Take a nice bath and forget about it. I’ll pardon you.
Token black woman Angela Stanton was sentenced to 6 months of home confinement for her role in a stolen vehicle ring. She has a reality TV background and is one of the few black people who support Trump. Look at my reality TV African American over there. Take a bath!
Disgraced former governor of Illinois and former Apprentice contestant, Rod Blagojevich was serving a 14 year sentence after being impeached and convicted for trying to sell Obama’s state senate seat when he got the good news that Trump was going to film another episode of The Apprentice where he doesn’t get fired. Trump said that his sentence was “tremendously powerful, ridiculous sentence,” that it was just a simple phone call where “nothing happens,” and that the prosecution was by the “same people — Comey, Fitzpatrick, the same group.” The message is this is all one big reality TV crime show, that our democracy is just a game, that impeachment doesn’t mean anything, and that Comey, Fitzpatrick and “the group” are out to get everybody.
Tynice Nichole Hall, an unknown crack head, and Crystal Munoz, a pot dealer, were thrown in so the toothless MAGAs strung out on meth and opioids have someone to cheer for.
Judith Negron got 35 years for defrauding Medicare by $205 million. The message? See how easy it is to rip off Medicare? Get rid of it and forget about Medicare for All. He threw that one in for the Republicans. They’ll need that talking point going into the 2020 election.
He’s getting the bath waters ready for everybody who will be going to go to jail for him and softening the land for the public so we won’t be as shocked when he pardons more.
Come on in, everybody. The water is fine.
“…….what Trump is really after is the normalization of corruption. The fact that Blagojevich was a Democrat makes it all the better. Trump would never argue that Republicans are clean and Democrats are dirty; he wants to convince you that everyone is dirty.” — Paul Waldman
Throw the dirty filthy criminals, president and Republicans out with the bath water. Melania too.
Vote Democrat 2020.
