People are going hungry. They’re going to get kicked out of their houses. They’re missing medications. Our national parks are getting trashed.
Trump doesn’t get how this shutdown has hurt so many people and worse, he doesn’t care. Republican leaders have always had the power to stop him but they won’t.
Republican Senator Richard Burr said Trump won’t sign a bill that doesn’t give him everything he wants so why bother. Why bother? For starters, it’s your fucking job. If Mitch McConnell just lets the Senate vote on re-opening the government we might find that there are enough votes to override a veto.

Trump eventually made his way to the Martin Luther King memorial on Martin Luther King Day. He stayed for about 2 minutes and made a 6 second speech. “It’s a great day. A beautiful day. Thank you for being here. Appreciate it.” He posted the video on Twitter.
The young Brett Kavanaugh wanna be from Kentucky, the shitty teenager who got in the face of a Native American and got the whole country upset (except for his parents, his friends, his teachers and everybody else within their circle of jerks) released a statement, paid for by his parents and written by a PR firm that also does business with Mitch McConnell’s Super PAC. It pretty much said that he is going to set the record straight, that he’ll tell you what really happened, and of course, that he’s the victim. The media went nuts. Liberals felt guilty for jumping to conclusions, and then a photo of the Covington Catholic kids in blackface at a basketball game with black players on the other team went viral. They were yelling at a black player on the other team, flashing the white power sign. And then another 2 more videos from DC — one of the boys cat calling young women from a park bench right before the confrontation with the Native American elder and the other a mob video with one boy yelling, “It’s not rape if you enjoy it!”
The only reason why the Covington Catholic shitty teenagers have received so much attention is because they are white. Poor little altar boys.
If you’re a decent, well informed person walking down the street and you see one person wearing a MAGA hat you might think, “Ewww.” If you see several people wearing MAGA hats you might want to cross the street. If you see a group of teenaged white boys wearing MAGA hats you’d probably feel threatened. Shitty ass white teenaged Catholic boys in MAGA hats are threatening.
The MAGA hat has become the symbol of white supremacy.
