This was the first Christmas in 4 years that Americans could celebrate without Trump tweeting. It was also the first Christmas in 20 years that the US hasn’t been at war.
Nightmare before Christmas — Omicron is spreading like a right wing conspiracy theory. 3,000 flights were cancelled around the world over the weekend. 450 of them were in the US. People had to cancel their Christmas plans because other people are still refusing to get vaccinated. Covid is never going to go away because too many people in America are lazy entitled selfish idiots who care more about what they got for Christmas than what they gave.
10 legislators in Congress have tested positive for covid. The Democrats should be OK because they’re vaccinated. The Republicans will be OK too because they lied about not being vaccinated. They’re not worried about their constituents dying from them telling them not to get vaccinated because they plan on cheating to win from now on anyway. 91% of Democrats are vaccinated while only 59% of Republicans are. They’re thinning their own herd.
One healthcare worker spent Christmas in isolation for Christmas because a patient’s family was so pissed off that they couldn’t come in to visit their family member that they sat out in their car in the parking lot and waited for her to finish her shift so they could literally get in her face and spit in it.
New York City had 31,024 new coronavirus cases on Christmas, the largest one day increase on record.
Doug Kuzma, an anti-vax podcaster, was put on a ventilator Christmas Day after catching covid at a QAnon event in Texas. Too bad the stockpile he had of ivermectin couldn’t save him. Other attendees from the event believe they were infected with anthrax.
And another killer cop goes to jail for killing an unarmed black man. Two days before Christmas, veteran cop Kim Potter, the former president of a police union, was found guilty of 2 manslaughter charges for shooting black motorist Daunte Wright after pulling him over for having an air freshener dangling from his rear view mirror. He was on his way to the car wash. She blamed the shooting on her taser. She only meant to tase him and didn’t know she was holding her gun. The 9 white, 2 Asian and 1 black members of the jury didn’t buy it. Guilty!
White supremacists didn’t let the guilty verdict of a killer cop dampen their Christmas spirit. They still sang, “White Christmas” with gusto, the only Christmas carol they know.
On Christmas Eve, Bishop Talbert Swan tweeted: In 1 day white Christians will celebrate the birth of a Black man born into oppression, whom they deliberately colonized, gentrified, domesticated, and whitewashed, to manipulate the masses and preserve white supremacy.
Capitalist Christmas fun fact: The 1940s film, “It’s a Wonderful Life” by Frank Capra, a story about a good guy from a small town who does all the right things his whole life but ends up regretting it and wishing he’d never been born after suffering yet one more consequence of someone else’s mistake, was seen by the FBI as being too anti-capitalist and warned of communist infiltration because it disparaged greed and cast bankers in a bad light.
Millionaire and billionaires got even richer during the pandemic. They are hoarding most of the wealth in America. Meanwhile, those who do all of the work and benefit the least, and those who are spit out of the capitalist system and are caught in a never ending cycle of poverty, are told by the capitalist system and the rich who have it all, and by the Republicans that they’re responsible for their own plight. If they just worked hard enough, they could be millionaires too. In America, the poor are blamed for being poor.
$1 trillion in revenue is lost every year because all of the rich people who hoard all of the cash and don’t pay taxes. With a record number of new rich people the lost revenue is down 72%.
350,000 families in West Virginia will stop getting $300 per child to help with food and clothing because their senator, Joe Manchin thinks their parents are deadbeats.
