In a short while, Trump will be under indictment for 3 crimes AND in court for rape. Everything is closing in on Trump all at once.
At their three day retreat, Kevin McCarthy directed all committees to do everything possible to stop Alvin Bragg from prosecuting Trump. The House Republicans are going to open up an investigation into Alvin Bragg and will demand his testimony. This is a gross abuse of power. It’s Unconstitutional. Congress has no authority, jurisdiction or lawful basis to interfere with a state prosecution. A Republican investigation into a state matter could be criminal and warrant its own investigation.
Three Republican leaders in the House, Jim Jordan, James Comer, and Brian Steel violated the tenth amendment be sending Alvin Bragg a letter accusing him of abuse of prosecutable authority and interfering with the 2024 election. DOJ has enough evidence to open an investigation into Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan, James Comer, and Brian Steel for using their power to help Trump.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has called for the arrest and prosecution of Alvin Bragg. A member of Congress has called for political revenge on the justice department.
It’s not getting as much media attention, but Judge Barrel Hall’s ruling on the crime fraud exception has kicked off a new scandal. Trump appealed her ruling and an appeals court denied his motion. Now his lawyers, Evan Corcoran and Jennifer Little have to testify. The attorney client privilege claim isn’t going to work. They have been ordered to testify again. Corcoran will testify on Friday.
The Trump Organization cut the reimbursement check to Michael Cohen. The Trump Organization is already under investigation by AG Letitia James and one person, Allen Weisselberg, is already in jail for his part in the Trump crimes. Trump claiming the $130,000 as a legal expense (falsifying business records) is a crime under New York State law.
Trump’s lawyer for the Stormy Daniels case, Joe Tacopina, did an interview on CNN in 2018 where he pumped himself up as possibly getting to represent her after doing a consultation with her. He told the truth on TV about Trump back in 2018. He called the Stormy Daniels case a Pandora’s box. Today he claims that he was lying on CNN in 2018 because he’s Trump’s lawyer now.
Michael Cohen had something to say about Joe Tacopina getting himself caught up with the Trump crime family. He’d like to know if he’s prepared to lose everything for Trump like he did. Tacopina could be disqualified from representing Trump. His whole firm could be disqualified from representing Trump. If he is found to be guilty of sharing information with Trump that he got from the Stormy Daniels consultation he could lose his law license.
