Cold Day in Hell
Trump literally left his cult followers out in the cold after he left them on an airfield in Omaha, Nebraska in 20 degree weather after lying to them for an hour. He had 10,000 people bused in to cheer for him at a MAGA rally but was short about 30 buses when it is was over, leaving hundreds of people having to walk 3.7 miles in the freezing cold to get to their cars. Many of them were seniors. Some got hypothermia. 9 were rushed to the ER in ambulances.
Senator Cory Booker, who Trump likes to use to scare white suburban housewives by saying he’s headed their way (he’s black) used to shovel snow for his neighbors when he was the mayor of Newark.
4 years ago today Rudy Giuliani set Jim Comey up by using the New York FBI to open a case into Anthony Weiner’s lap top which froze the Clinton campaign. It never regained temperature. Rudy is trying to do it again with Hunter Biden but all reputable news organizations sprayed hot water on him. Nobody but Fox News and other right wing fake news outlets are giving it any room in the freezer.
In 2008 Republicans and right wing fake news outlets tried to scare people about voting for a black president by obsessing over a story about 2 members of the “New Black Panther Party” showing up at a polling place in Philadelphia to intimidate voters. Their “reporting” resulted in action to keep white voters safe from scary black men who might try and keep them from exercising their right to vote. This year armed MAGAs are already showing up at early polling stations as voluntary poll watchers, per Trump’s orders in order to freeze out Biden voters.
A judge froze the ban on people bringing their guns to polling places on Election Day in Michigan. Hot headed militias are free to show up to wave their guns around. “This is a cold war!”
20 former US Attorneys who were appointed by Republican presidents have endorsed Joe Biden because the “foundational principles of the DOJ” have been a “threat to the rule of law” under Trump.
Speaking of the DOJ, a federal judge found that Trump can’t use it as his legal defense team against a defamation lawsuit brought by E. Jean Carroll who claims he sexually assaulted her in the 1990s. Trump had turned the case over to the Justice Department so tax payers could pay for his legal defense and Bill Barr could protect him. Like with Monica Lewinsky, there is a dress. She was wearing it when she says Trump raped her in a department store dressing room in New York. Her legal team needs his DNA to prove that it’s Trump’s sperm. His defense? She’s not his type. MAGA cultists will call her a cold frigid bitch who’s out to get their man.
Since the Republican strategy from now until election day is to suppress the vote by scaring people into not voting by encouraging volunteer MAGA poll watchers to show up packing and getting judges to say votes won’t count if the USPS delivers after Nov 3, people better hand deliver their ballots to drop boxes or vote in person. It’s too late to mail your ballot. 29 states won’t count it if it’s late. Since Trump has done a pretty good job of making a mess out of the postal service so that mail is not delivered on time, don’t chance it or your vote will be left out in the cold.
Trump’s stump speech includes ballots should not be counted after Nov 3 and his buddy on the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh agrees. He says any “late arriving” votes are “illegitimate” which is funny because when he was a lawyer for George W Bush he argued the opposite and Bush won. He was able to stop the ballot count in Florida. Without his help, Bush might have lost in 2000, sparing the country 20 years of misery and a packed Supreme Court featuring cold hearted Brett Kavanaugh.
The world community is just as polarized over American politics as we are. The bad guys are in the Trump/Republicans/Mr. Freeze camp and the good guys are in the Biden/Democrats/Batman camp.
The Minnesota Department of Health has reported 23 cases from 3 coronavirus outbreaks related to Trump’s MAGA rallies in September. Trump is a super spreader who not only denies the disease, but he’s actually spreading it. His attempts to freeze frame the spread aren’t working because the virus cases are surging all across the country. His strategy is to ignore it for the next 6 days and hope the nation’s temperature doesn’t go up. He’s battling a cold sweat, not the pandemic.
A producer at Cold as Ice Fox News has died from the coronavirus but Fox is downplaying it.
Trump tweeted this morning: Covid, Covid, Covid is the unified chant of the Fake News Lamestream Media. They will talk about nothing else until November 4th., when the Election will be (hopefully!) over. Then the talk will be how low the death rate is, plenty of hospital rooms, & many tests of young people.
Trump is stone cold crazy.
66 million have already voted which is almost HALF as many as the total number of people who voted in 2016. Cool!
