Bob Mueller’s team is pissed off. When they released the report nearly 2 weeks ago they released it with their own summary that could have been released immediately and was done in such a way that it would have needed minimum redactions. It said there was alarming and significant evidence against Trump. Bill Barr ignored it and wrote his own summary to make it sound like the report was no big deal. The “no collusion” storyline was established by an eager press that took the bait without tasting it first, making it really easy for the Republicans to accuse the Dems of being on a witch hunt. This is the first time that Mueller’s team has emerged from their tightly guarded corner to comment on the investigation. They’re pissed.
Some of Mueller’s team won’t be with the Justice Department anymore which means they won’t be cornered anymore so they can finally talk.
Bill Barr is a greedy idiot for taking this job, cutting ethical corners and blowing his whole career.
The House Judiciary Committee voted to authorize a subpoena of the Mueller Report. They’re giving Barr time to come to his senses and give it up willingly or else.
Republican hypocrite fun fact: Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee opposed the subpoena even though the House voted unanimously last month (420–0) to release the report.
The House Oversight Committee will be getting 10 years of Trump’s financial records through his former accounting firm. Trump is cornered.
The Ways and Means Committee has sent a written request to the IRS formally requesting that they be sent the last 6 years of Trump’s tax returns. Trump is cornered. If he over reported his income he’ll get busted and if his income is low, the whole world will know once and for all that he’s not as rich as he says he is.
