CPAC MAGA Convention
The first day of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), run by accused sexual predator, Matt Schlapp, was as weird as everyone expected. He had been in hiding ever since it came out that he hit on one of Herschel Walker’s male staffers. He’s safe at CPAC, surrounded by hypocritical, hateful Republican evangelicals and lots of sexual deviants who make laws regulating people’s sex lives while practicing the very thing they’re making laws against. Matt Schlapp’s fundraiser, Caroline Wren, the one who raised most of the money for the Stop the Steal rally in January 6, outed the guy who is suing Schlapp and slandered him by saying he is a habitual liar who couldn’t keep a job so now he’s suing her for $500k. The conference opened with Matt Schlapp talking to Jim Jordan. He referred to him as possibly “the most powerful man in Washington DC.” Jim Jordan hasn’t been subpoenaed by the DOJ yet about January 6 because targets don’t get subpoenaed. He’s both a target and a witness. He’ll be arrested for being in on the planning, attending meetings, and texting back and forth with Mark Meadows about their plot to keep Trump in power. Jim Jordan’s new subcommittee that was formed to investigate the “weaponization of government” was created to weaponize the government so it couldn’t investigate him and the other insurrectionists in Congress who are now in control of the House.
Congressman Scott Perry, another insurrectionist who had a prominent role in the planning of the coup is at CPAC. He is currently fighting the DOJ over them confiscating his phone to review his texts and emails to Mark Meadows. He ranted about gas stoves at CPAC and said he wanted to “create a firestorm” so leftists would quake with fear and lose weight because “they’re worried that they’re going to be going to jail.” When he was asked a month ago if he should be investigating January 6 when he’s one of the people who is being investigated, he said you’re innocent until proven guilty in America. The Select Committee found evidence that Scott Perry was the one who lobbied for Jeffrey Clark to be the attorney general. He is one of the many Republican members of Congress who refused to cooperate with the Select Committee after being subpoenaed. He’s mentioned quite a lot in the Select Committee’s final report. He is also one of the many members of Congress who asked Trump for a pardon.
New US Senator from Ohio, JD Vance, who ran on a hard-core racist, sexist, MAGA platform warmed the CPAC crowd up by telling them that they had equal justice in the country until Joe Biden “and his gang of thugs” took office. He really should be back in his home state dealing with Norfolk Southern poisoning his constituents but he needs to see and be seen at CPAC to keep his image finely tuned to the MAGA channel.
Tom Homan, Trump’s top ICE official who oversaw Trump’s family separation policy at the border has been ranting for two days about the border. He’s happy to be among his people. They applaud him and agree with him whenever he says, “I don’t give a shit” about kids being separated from their parents at the border.
Kimberly Guilfoyle is there selling gold and silver. She is telling the gullible idiots roaming the halls to stop doing business with woke companies that hate them, and go to KimsMetals to invest for your retirement. She went to CPAC 2 years ago during COVID and danced on the main stage that was designed after the Nazi symbol, the Odal Rune, worn by the Nazi SS. She danced in the heated tent next to the stage at the Stop the Steal rally on January 6, too, minutes before Trump told the crowd to storm the Capitol. She got paid $60,000 to speak at that rally and then demanded Caroline Wren (who paid her) go on record and say she didn’t get paid anything. They got in a big fight that day.
Right now Kimberly Guilfoyle is interviewing Sarah Palin while Marjorie Taylor Greene speaks on stage, trashing Ukraine and President Zelensky and getting a lot of applause.
In other news, DOJ has determined that Trump can be sued by the police who were injured on January 6, three Trump judges on the second circuit court of appeals (all white men of course) ruled that employers can fire anybody who is pro-choice or has had an abortion based on religious freedom and Walgreens will no longer dispense abortion pills in several states because the pro-lifers are threatening them.
Ron DeSantis won’t go anywhere near CPAC this year. That’s Trump country and he’s scared of Trump. He’s gone from going to first, second, third, and home base with Trump to dropping the sport. He’s not playing ball with Trump anymore because he wants to be president which will be quite the game. Trump posted an old photo on Truth Social of Ron DeSantis partying with high school girls when he was their teacher and accused him of being a groomer. When asked about it DeSantis said he doesn’t waste time on smearing other Republicans. He’s staying put in Florida where he is on a roll turning Florida into Nazi Germany. The latest? The “Don’t Say Mean Things About DeSantis Bill.” Anyone who writes an “article or story” about “the Governor, Lt. Gov, or Cabinet member” of Florida and receives compensation must register with the state within 5 days of publication.
If DeSantis really runs in 2024 the oppo research on him will be brutal. His besties are criminals, but so are Trump’s so that may not matter. The brutal part will be Trump says he has dirt on DeSantis.
