Officer Sicknick’s remains are lying in repose in the Rotunda in the Capitol where he gave his life. We still don’t know what the cause of death was because the Capitol Police is being very secretive, but we do know that he died in the line of duty protecting members of Congress, some of whom are responsible for getting him killed. Kevin McCarthy showed up. He shouldn’t have been there. That wasn’t a faux pas, bad taste, or an error. He’s that ruthless. He’s got Officer Sicknick’s blood on his hands.
CNN and MSNBC covered the somber moment and President Biden and Dr. Jill Biden paid their respects.

Trump’s lawyers sent an opening brief to the Senate with errors and typos. They mis-spelled Unites States. They say Trump can’t be convicted because he’s protected by the First Amendment. These guys are going along with Trump saying that the election was stolen from him and so therefore he he is still the rightful president.
The Dems should make Trump testify for 11 hours like Hillary Clinton was made to do for the money pit bogus Benghazi investigation. They could wear ear plugs, listen to music, or walk out after they set him loose. He could drive the Republicans slowly insane with his nonstop rambling, ranting about being a victim, bragging about how rich he is, insulting female legislators, and lying about everything. Wind him up and let him go.
Pete Buttigieg has been confirmed as the new Transportation Secretary. He is the first openly gay cabinet member in US history which has made the homophobes’ heads EXPLODE. Those who voted no are: Marsha Blackburn, Bill Cassidy, Tom Cotton, Ted Cruz, Bill Hagerty, Josh Hawley, Jim Lankford, Roger Marshall, Marco Rubio, Rick Scott, Tim Scott, Richard Shelby, and Tubby the Tuba Tommy Tuberville.
Alejandro Mayorkas made history too by becoming the first Latino immigrant to lead the Department of Homeland Security. He was born in Cuba. Marco Rubio, son of Cuban immigrants, voted no.
Marco Rubio fixed his Twitter settings so people can’t reply to his ridiculous pandering posts. If you can’t stand the heat, stay out if the bitchin’.
Josh Hawley is the only senator who voted no on all of the confirmations.
Press Secretary Jen Psaki said President Biden is committed to undoing the immoral actions of the previous administration. President Biden himself said, “I’m not making new law, I’m eliminating bad policy.”
Congressmembers Don Beyer and Ted Lieu have introduced the Security Clearance Review Act, legislation that would make sure that political appointees don’t get to bypass security clearances like Trump’s family did.
President Biden wants us all to know that nobody in his extended family will be making any government decisions or be given any input on policies.

She’s leaving the country after trying to overtake the US government because she’s white and from Texas.
