Flag Day
It’s Pride Month which means rainbow flags are flying. Remember when Trump was president and wouldn’t let US embassies fly rainbow flags?
The US flag used to represent everyone. The US flag used to belong to everyone, but ever since Trump came along the flag has been taken hostage by MAGAS, Christian Nationalists and Republicans.
Remember when NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick got down on one knee during the singing of the National Anthem to humbly protest institutional racism and police brutality? Trump and the Republicans turned that into disrespecting our flag. That turned into a real thing. The knee had nothing to do with the flag. MAGAs demonized athletes for kneeling in peaceful protest because they were Black. They used “disrespecting the flag” to get the most right-wing media exposure then on January 6th, 2021, MAGAs stormed the Capitol wrapped in the American flag but carried the Confederate flag. They removed the American flag at the Capitol and replaced it with the Trump flag. They wanted to stop the certification of the presidential election so Trump could “win.’

MAGAs beat police officers with flag poles on January 6. They disrespected the US flag by wearing it, hanging it upside down, and throwing it on the ground. In addition to the Confederate flags they carried during the attack, they also carried Don’t Tread on Me, Trump, and Nazi flags.
Remember when Trump made out with the flag on stage at CPAC?
To Trump from Jeffrey Guterman: “The First Amendment, something you have no respect for, has already ruled that the government shall not prohibit the burning of the flag. However, you should be incarcerated for humping it.”
Remember when Trump wouldn’t let the flags at the White House be flown at half-staff to honor Senator John McCain after he died? Playing around with the flag in petty protest didn’t poll well so Trump moved it to half-staff.

Remember when Trump’s cult members boycotted Walmart for not selling Confederate flags?
Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida ordered flags to be flown at half-staff for Rush Limbaugh after he finally died. MAGA Congresswoman Lauren Boebert tweeted: “I’m calling on Joe Biden to order flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of Rush Limbaugh.” Rush Limbaugh started right wing media which led to Fox News, which promotes mindless, white supremacy partisanship, and makes it possible to express an abundance of hatred towards liberals since the 80s. Shock radio was just a game to him, but like Trump, he didn’t care that the game hurt people or the country. It was fun to see how much power you could amass by manipulating people. Both men got really rich doing it. If it’s one man who doesn’t deserve to be honored with the US flag flown at half-staff, it’s Rush Limbaugh.
Recently we found out that the Washington Post had been sitting on an interview that a former Supreme Court reporter did with Justice Samuel Alito on his front-yard on Biden’s inauguration day. The Post decided it wasn’t a story. A US Supreme Court justice hanging the American flag upside-down is not a story? The New York Times found out about it and published it. The public was outraged that a sitting justice would do such a thing — hang the US flag upside down like the MAGA mob did during the attack on the Capitol. What? A couple of senators wanted to meet with him immediately to get to the bottom of it and he wrote them a letter basically saying no to a meeting. He blamed his wife, Martha Ann Alito, for hanging the flag upside down, an a “Appeal to Heaven” flag, after she got in a fight with the neighbors over their liberal flags flying in their yard. The fight escalated, Martha Ann Alito spit on the neighbor’s car and called the neighbor horrible names. The neighbor called Martha Ann bad names too. They made a scene. Alito lied about the date the flag was hung in his letter to Congress. He said it was 3 weeks after the inauguration. Not true. It was hung on January 6, in solidarity with the mob that had attacked the US Capitol. He threw his wife under the bus by saying he couldn’t control her (but he can control all American women and girls by reversing Roe v Wade.) Now Sam and Martha Ann Alito are a thing. Martha Ann is mad about the Pride flags flying in the neighborhood now and looks forward to being able to hang the Sacred Heart of Jesus flag once her husband is done with all of “this nonsense.” MAGA Betsy Ross Alito plans on the next US flag being a Christian flag. Samuel Alito and 5 other justices believe that the US flag belongs to the Christian nationalists. It’s going to be their way or no way.

Wanna be dictator Trump was found guilty on 34 counts in New York City for election interference. This isn’t going to make a bit of difference to his cult followers who hang the flag upside down. Trump is fundraising off of it, calling himself a political prisoner (he hasn’t been sentenced yet.) He’s got at least 3 more trials coming up and that could mean jail time. He would just as soon be electrocuted in a boat than wave the white flag and admit guilt and defeat. He’s going to go down with the battery operated ship.

It’s Flag Day today. It’s also Trump’s birthday. The Biden/Harris campaign sent him a message: Happy birthday, Donald. You’re a crook, a failure, a fraud and a threat to our democracy, economy, rights, and future.
The Biden/Harris flag is the US flag. The flag that should belong to everybody.
