Trump invoked the Alien Sedition Act in order to have more immediate control in deporting people. FDR used it during WWII when he rounded up all the Japanese Americans, forcing them out of their homes and jobs and making them live in camps out in the middle of nowhere. Trump wants to send immigrants to Guantanamo so he can torture them all. The Supreme Court stepped in and told him no. He can’t kick people out of the country without giving them due process.
The damage has been done — 137 men are in prison in El Salvador without receiving due process.
Canadian Jasmine Mooney was detained by ICE for 2 weeks and treated horribly. She slept on concrete floors in several jails and was told nothing about her case. She said ICE and the guards had no idea what they were doing. If she had any clue that there was even a remote possibility that this could happen there is no way she would have ever travelled to the states.
Canada and other countries are telling its citizens not to travel to the United States because it’s too dangerous.
Trump is holding his second cabinet meeting with Elon Musk, the real president, in attendance.
People all across the country are expressing their outrage towards Elon Musk at Tesla dealerships. People are not only vandalizing the buildings and the cars, they’re holding demonstrations. MAGA Rick Fuze used a stun gun on protesters in Berkeley. He accused them of being paid protesters. He went there to show his support for Musk and DOGE. And a Florida man was arrested after driving a car into a group of protesters at a Tesla dealership a couple of days ago.
Co-founder of Apple, Steve Wozniak, accused Elon Musk of stealing money, lying about Tesla’s capabilities, and conning the public.
Musk is begging Tesla employees not to sell their stocks right now to hold on to some of the company’s value since big investors are pulling out and asking him to resign.
Trump declared all of Biden’s pardons null and void.
People are holding “empty chair” town halls in Republican districts where their reps are too scared to show up. Refusing to hold town halls is a form of taxation without representation.

She was at the helm of high-profile investigations into intelligence leaks, allegations of war crimes against Russian-linked individuals and people suspected of providing sensitive U.S. technology to Moscow before she stepped down, with unfinished business, after Trump was inaugurated. She led a department of 300 prosecutors, civil litigators, and support personnel tasked with national security and terrorism. Her career was made up of prosecuting oligarchs, cybercriminals, and bad guys who make problems disappear. If she was pressured to resign, what cases got quietly buried when she left? What did Jessica Aber know? We’ll never know because she mysteriously died.
This is the kind of thing that happens in Russia.
