The Wicked Witch of the South, Kirstjen Nielsen, is out as homeland security secretary. She wasn’t cruel enough for Trump. He blames her for not being able to control the millions of illegal animals and criminals pouring over the border every day.

3 days ago Kirstjen Nielsen told CNN that she was leading the response to the humanitarian crisis at the border as if it were “a cat 5 hurricane.” Apparently the hurricane can be put on pause until the national emergency resumes.

Nancy Pelosi wasted no time commenting — “It’s deeply alarming that the Trump Administration official who put children in cages is reportedly resigning because she is not extreme enough for the White House’s liking…………The President’s dangerous and cruel anti-immigrant policies have only worsened the humanitarian suffering at the border and inflicted vast suffering on the families who have been torn apart.”

It will take 2 years to reunite families, if ever at all.

Senator Richard Blumenthal said, “Secretary Nielsen leaves a legacy of separating thousands of families, caging children, and denying it happened. We will be grappling with the damage she has wreaked for decades to come.”

Kirstjen better not just be judged harshly by history. She needs to be judged in a court of law for crimes against humanity. What she did was implement policy that was not only immoral, but it was illegal.

Trump is blocking Democrats from visiting child detention centers again. Congresswoman Shalala from Florida said, “We are now running the largest orphanage in the United States. The immigration policies and practices in this country are in chaos and at the worst, we are hurting children.”

So now Trump has an acting secretary of Homeland Security, Kevin McAleenan. He’s the guy who ordered migrants at the border be gassed in November. He’s with Trump — “Migrants seeking asylum are mostly criminals without legitimate claims for shelter.” Trump will be in no hurry to nominate anyone permanently because then he’d have to go through the Senate confirmation process. This way he gets to run things more like a king.

Reminder: We don’t have secretaries for the Defense Department or the Department of the Interior. Trump doesn’t want anybody telling him what to do.

Trump is going all out for immigrants again, keeping his racist base worked up about being invaded. He tweeted: More apprehensions (captures) at the Southern Border than in many years. Border Patrol amazing! Country is FULL! System has been broken for many years. Democrats in Congress must agree to fix loopholes — No Open Borders (Crimes & Drugs). Will Close Southern Border If necessary… ….Mexico must apprehend all illegals and not let them make the long march up to the United States, or we will have no other choice than to Close the Border and/or institute Tariffs. Our Country is FULL!

We’ve got a mad king sitting in the Oval Office and the Republicans want him there.
