The Republicans did Trump’s thumbs up and danced to the YMCA song after Speaker Mike Johnson declared victory for Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill. It passed, and so has America’s time as the greatest democracy on earth.
17 million people are getting kicked off their health insurance. Extremely poor people who rely on Medicaid won’t be able to go to the doctor as well as middle class people who have been able to afford to go to the doctor because they are insured through the Affordable Care Act which is affordable only because part of their monthly premiums are picked up by Medicaid (but only if you are lucky enough to live in a blue state with Medicaid expansion).
Mitch McConnell told the Republicans to just go ahead and gut Medicaid — everybody will get over it.
American doctors applying to work in Canada have risen 750% in the past few months. They want OUT.
The DOJ is hiring Trump’s militia now. Jared Wise just got a job after being pardoned by Trump for his role on January 6 (he called for the killing of police officers). MAGA militia are infiltrating the government. We’ll find out that many of Trump’s ICE agents who are terrorizing people on the streets of America are Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, Bugaloo Boys, etc.
Because of Trump’s Big Beautiful bill, Ice queen Kristi Noem has $149 billion to spend on hunting, brutalizing, arresting and imprisoning people on the streets of what used to be the greatest country on earth.
Russia’s military budget is $159 billion and they’re in a war.
Turns out that while Kristi Noem was governor of South Dakota, she secretly accepted $80,000 from a political nonprofit she was affiliated with. Guess she couldn’t afford all that makeup on her governor’s salary of $130,000.
Right after the bill passed, Trump sent out an email to everybody on Social Security to celebrate the big lie that they won’t be paying tax on their benefits. That wasn’t even in the bill but he’s been saying that it is.
200 Marines are on their way to Florida to help with deportation.
Nebraska is the first state to say they need help after Trump screwed them with tariffs. It’s facing a net loss of $15 billion since their workers have abandoned the fields and China has cancelled its $2 billion soybean order. Nebraska is also the first state to be negatively impacted by the Big Beautiful Bill, too. They had to close one of their rural hospitals on the day the bill passed because they know they can’t stay open without Medicaid.
Canada has said now that the long-standing friendly relationship with the US is over.
The dollar had its worst start to a year in four decades, we lost 33,000 jobs in June (he promised a gain of 100,000 jobs), we lost $12.5 billion tourist dollars this year, and Paramount settled with Trump over the Kamala Harris interview on 60 Minutes ($16 million, the same number that ABC paid him). We have lost the ability of federal judges to rule on things countrywide. Birthright citizenship is likely gone.
MAGAs are so far gone that even after ICE kidnaps their spouses they still support Trump. They’re either so far gone mentally that they are beyond help, or they really are very, very dumb, or uninformed and easily duped about anything, or they’re simply too proud to admit they fucked up, or the worst, they’re just straight up evil, which good people are really struggling to understand. What happened to America?
People who aren’t white are nervous. This is like Apartheid South Africa in the 80s. Everybody who isn’t white should carry proof of citizenship in case they’re unexpectedly grabbed off the street by masked monsters. It won’t be long before everybody (WHITE PEOPLE, HELL-O?) will be carrying their papers, ready to prove their status at a moment’s terrifying moment.
Welcome to authoritarianism. It seems feigned to celebrate the Fourth of July today when we’re losing our independence right before our eyes, taken from us quite by a tyrant, a king.
