Republicans have been pretty quiet since the Select Committee hearings started — they made a desperate attempt to keep people from tuning in before they started by faking outrage that they were going to happen at all. Now they’re scrambling behind the scenes trying to figure out how to save themselves. Do I keep fighting the committee? Do I play it safe and stick to the RNC talking points by talking about nothing else except inflation and gas prices to fight Biden? Do I fight the QAnon kooks within my own party to differentiate myself from the dangerous nuts that have taken the Republican party from the gutter to the rat infested sewer below or do I give in to try and out do them so I can win in the primary because Republican primary voters won’t vote for anybody but sewer rats?
The weak and dying establishment wing of the GOP has had it with Lauren Boebert. Like with Madison Cawthorn, they’re going after her to make her disappear. The same PAC that outed Cawthorn with video of homo-erotic romps with a male staffer that forced the GOP to finally turn their back on him is going after Lauren Boebert with accusations of her being a former escort to a Koch family member who introduced her to Ted Cruz who encouraged her to run for Congress and gave her $125,000 for her campaign. Oh and she had two abortions. Liberals are sitting back with snacks and their favorite beverage, watching the freak show. Here we go with another Republican saying and legislating one thing and living another. She’s supposedly a pro-life Christian that is against abortion and is using her power to make sure nobody else can get what she’s gotten. So very typical of Republicans, just like Republicans legislating homosexuality who live closeted gay lives. “Hooking up with Ted Cruz?’ Pass the popcorn.
Lauren Boebert had a role in the attack on the Capitol by escorting at least one tour to a group before she was even sworn in and tweeting out Nancy Pelosi’s whereabouts during the attack. Madison Cawthorn spoke at the Stop the Steal Rally. Nobody had ever heard of him before, he was that new to Washington. Both Boebert and Cawthorn bragged about bringing guns into the Capitol.
Whose next? Marjorie Taylor Greene? She is another gun nut QAnon freak candidate that got elected and supported the insurrection by meeting regularly with Trump’s team and promoting it on social media. She’s so outrageous and dangerous she was stripped of her committee assignments (the 11 Republicans who voted against her received death threats along with the Democrats) and was sued to be prohibited from being on the ballot for re-election because she participated in an insurrection but she won in court and won the primary and will advance on to the general election.
Speaking of female QAnon weirdos, what’s going on with Ginni Thomas? Breaking news of her involvement in the coup dropped out of the headlines weeks ago. From her attendance at the Stop the Steal rally and her texts with Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows that prove she was in on the planning of the insurrection, and her egging him on to gin up the rioters, to her close relationship with Louie Gohmert’s chief of staff, Connie Hair (Gohmert’s the one who filed the lawsuit seeking to force Pence to help throw the election,) and her husband protecting her and other members of Congress who were involved in the attempted coup as a Supreme Court justice, the media should be talking about her every day.
Republican Congresswoman Debbie Lesko from Arizona voted to not certify the election, participated in a planning meeting at the White House in late December about overturning electoral votes, and on January 5 she was on tape saying that hundreds of thousands of Trump supporters and Antifa were going to come to Washington to overturn the election. She was among 120 House Republicans who signed on to a lawsuit to throw out election results in Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin which the Supreme Court rejected within hours. She’s a typical Arizona Republican and appears with Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar to assert wildly stupid stuff and is running for re-election unopposed with the support of the GOP QAnon Chair in Arizona, Kelli Ward.
And then there’s Elise Stefanik. She doesn’t identify as a QAnon weirdo, but she does identify as a proud MAGA. Once a pro-choice moderate, she jumped trains when she realized Trump’s train moved faster and had more voters on it. She was all too happy to let her gender be exploited when the repugs moved her out front after they threw Liz Cheney under the bus for agreeing to be on the Select Committee. Elise can be seen everywhere now, right alongside the biggest traitors in US history, all because she is addicted to power. Before they pushed her out front, she was already getting media attention as “the future of the Republican Party.” She was once a critic of Trump but is now a Trumplican.
The 2 faces of the misogynistic GOP today are ironically women — Liz Cheney represents the old and Elise Stefanik represents the new. Stefanik claims the GOP has never been stronger while Liz Cheney says the party is a disaster and needs to break apart.
