Handmaid’s Fail
Trump should announce today, before Ruth Bader Ginsburg is even buried, that “he” has chosen Amy Coney Barrett to be the new Supreme Court justice. Amy Coney Barrett is a hard core Catholic who is opposed to abortion for any reason. She has 7 kids, is a defender of gun nut culture and is no fan of the Affordable Care Act. She criticized John Roberts publicly for saving it. She may have a vagina but she doesn’t use it like she could, according to THE LAW, thanks to RBG! She is a member of an extremist religious group called, “People of Praise.” The cult believes in husbands before wives and sex between a man and a woman ONLY after marriage. Women are called “handmaids” and men are called, “heads.” That’s where Margaret Atwood got the idea for her book, “The Handmaid’s Tale.” The group practices group think and has about 1,700 members in 22 cities across the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean. The Republicans picked her because she’ll be the deciding vote to overturn Roe v Wade. She is a professor at Notre Dame Law School and said this when she gave the commencement speech in 2006, “……always keep in mind that your legal career is but a means to an end, and as Father Jenkins told you this morning, that end is building the kingdom of God. You know the same law, are charged with maintaining the same ethical standards, and will be entering the same kinds of legal jobs as your peers across the country. But if you can keep in mind that your fundamental purpose in life is not to be a lawyer, but to know, love, and serve God, you truly will be a different kind of lawyer.” She is 48 years old and once clerked for Antonin Scalia, the most conservative justice on the Roberts court. She picked up his judicial philosophy and interprets the constitution the same way he did — as black and white. She is a die hard CONSERVATIVE, the antithesis of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. During her confirmation hearing for a seat on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in December of 2017, Dianne Feinstein came down hard on her with her questioning, even though it didn’t matter because the Senate is controlled by the Republicans and they have done nothing but ram conservative judges through, “Why is it that so many of us on this side have this very uncomfortable feeling that dogma and law are two different things, and I think whatever a religion is, it has its own dogma. The law is totally different. And I think in your case, professor, when you read your speeches, the conclusion one draws is that the dogma lives loudly within you. And that’s of concern.” She said she was a “controversial” nominee, “because you have a long history of believing that your religious beliefs should prevail” over the law.
She has no problem being nominated while RBG is still above ground 38 days before an election, despite being on record for saying that Obama shouldn’t pick anyone to fill her mentor’s seat after Scalia died because it was during an election YEAR. She also said if he did that he would “dramatically flip the balance of power” away from Scalia’s conservative stance.
If confirmed, Donald J. Trump, a treasonous impeached president and criminal who was chosen by a foreign enemy to be president, will have seated 3 very conservative justices on the Supreme Court. All of them are affiliated with the uber conservative Federalist Society. If Hillary had won, she would have seated 3 very different justices who would have moved the country forward instead of a court that shapes the country in the image and likeness of their own straight white God.
A bunch of Republican women held an event in Wisconsin and invited Kyle Rittenhouse’s mom to attend. They gave her a standing ovation. A room full of female white supremacists applauded the woman who raised a boy to shoot 3 people in the street, killing 2.
This election is fundamentally about a power struggle between those who want to ensure white conservative minority rule over a multiracial evolving democracy. We’re in danger of a being controlled by a majority of Justices on the Supreme Court who were chosen by presidents who didn’t even get the majority of the popular vote. White conservative men are over represented in government and in the courts.
MAGA rallies never feature hostile chants about men.
