Happy Arraignment Day
Trump appeared in the DC court an hour ago and pleaded not guilty to the four charges about overturning the 2020 election.
People were gathered outside of the courthouse, but thankfully there was no violence (fencing was installed last night just in case Trump’s cult followers showed up and wanted to attack the courthouse like they did the Capitol). One MAGA stood out. He was carrying a giant American flag with Trump’s angry face in the middle and “Trump or Death 1776–2024.”
This was the second time in 2 months that Trump has been fingerprinted. No mug shot.
The judge referred to him as Mr. Trump, not President Trump. She told him he could go to jail for 55 years if found guilty on all 4 counts and if he doesn’t comply with the conditions of his release he could be held in jail until his trial. He’s not supposed to talk to any witness about the trial without counsel present. If he commits a crime, such as trying to influence a juror, he can go to jail. He wasn’t Mr. Big Shot sitting in the courthouse. He was an ordinary (pouting) American in a shit load of trouble.

May 20 — Mar-a-Lago classified documents trial
Georgia indictment — TBD
Trump is roughly the 1,100th person charged with offenses related to the insurrection. He’ll go down in history for not only being the only president to attempt a coup, but he’ll be known too for being a big time criminal who was indicted three times in four months.
Now that Trump is finally being held criminally accountable for the Big Lie, don’t forget that there were 147 members of Congress who voted against certifying the 2020 election and were complicit in Trump’s election lies. Most of them are still in Congress and they’re still fundraising. All of them are Republicans.
Jack Smith has dozens of witnesses who have testified about Trump’s plan to overturn the 2020. Not a single one is a Democrat.
