This morning the Supreme Court struck down Biden’s plan to wipe away $400 billion in student loan debt. It refused the $10,000 loan forgiveness for 43 million Americans because America and all of the bennies are for rich white people only. The vote was 6 to 3. The rich justices voted against the broke millions who worked hard to get their college education and could sure use the relief so they have more money at the end of the month to pay their bills.
Biden is pissed. He released a statement: “Republicans had no problem with pandemic related loans for their own businesses. But providing relief to millions of hard working Americans, they did everything in their power to stop it.”
White black man who benefitted from affirmative action to get to where he is now and can deny his own blackness and turn his back on his past, Clarence Thomas, secretly accepted $150,000 in tuition payments from rightwing billionaire Harlan Crow for his nephew to attend private school but he voted to strike down loan forgiveness for students just like his younger Black self. Fuck ’em. I got mine, forget about yours.
Justices Thomas and Alito are done for the summer and are ready to hop on the next private plane offered to them to go on luxury trips paid for by billionaires in exchange for favors with their votes.
They’re living lives of luxury thanks to their benefactors.
The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Christian web designer in Colorado who brought a HYPOTHETICAL case so she wouldn’t have to ever have to design a wedding website for gay people. The plaintiff, Lorie Smith of 303 Creative, doesn’t want to have to work for gay people if she doesn’t want to. There was no situation that happened that prompted her to bring a suit, this was a “just in case” situation and the 6 Christian homophobes on the Supreme Court said OK. They’re using this case as a vehicle to undermine every single federal, state, county, and city anti-discrimination law in the country. This bigot literally invented a situation to be mad at and took it all the way to the Supreme Court and succeeded.
Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer is pissed off about the anti-gay ruling. “Today’s ruling by the MAGA-right activist wing of the Supreme Court is a giant step backward for human rights and equal protection in the United States.”
The Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, dismantled affirmative action, ruled that any business can deny service to the LGBTQ community, and struck down Biden’s student forgiveness program all in one year. The Christian nationalists have taken over. We’ve got ours! We’ve got ours!
Republicans cancelled student loan forgiveness and affirmative action for Gen Z. They took away their right to abortion just as they’re becoming sexually active. They value automatic weapons over them and their younger siblings and don’t care if they get shot and killed. They don’t believe in climate change. They don’t care if Gen Z and Millennials can afford to move out of their parents’ houses. They’re anti-LGBTQ. Republicans are killing off America’s young. We got ours, forget about yours.
Trump posted a screenshot of Barack Obama’s DC address. One of his deranged followers, Taylor Taranto, who has been living in a van parked near the DC jail, thought he’d pay Obama a visit and got arrested. This whacko was at the Capitol on January 6 and was sued by a widow of one of the police officers who committed suicide because he was assaulted by Taranto.
The ex-speaker of the House in Ohio, Republican Larry Householder, was sentenced to 20 years in prison for orchestrating a $60 million bribery scheme.
Supreme Court justices who have taken bribes should be in jail.
