ICE Out
ICE has invaded my city and I’m not having it.
The mayor of Los Angeles isn’t having it. The governor of California isn’t having it. And the people in the streets of L.A. aren’t having it — they’re chasing the terrorists out of town. Unarmed. Brave. Human.
They are chasing fast hire Ramboy wannabes who are camouflaged, masked, heavily armed, and rubbing up close to other fast hire Ramboys, some of them possibly pardoned by Trump for their role on January 6. All of these manboys get to play with government sanctioned war weapons and terrorize innocent people for pay, which is better than doing it for free after the bar closes with a belly full of beer.
They came by unmarked government issued SUVs, “police” cars with flashing lights, military vehicles, and helicopters to the tune of sirens, flash grenades, and screams. They used pepper spray and tear gas. None of the manboys had to identify themselves. They could be anonymous, just like online.
They attacked the Capitol in his name and now they’re attacking innocent people in his name. Manboys who never served in actual combat getting to act out combat fantasies, legally, in the company of other manboys, with guns, is a MAGA dream come true.
They attacked 50 blue cities in 40 counties yesterday, rounding up moms, dads, kids, innocent unarmed abuelas — none of them gang members, drug dealers, or rapists. They rushed the garment district, places of business, immigration appointments and hearings, donut shops, restaurants, and elementary schools, arresting, cuffing, and terrorizing 45 brown people without warrants. Kids watched their parents get taken away by strange masked men with guns. Elderly people were thrown to the ground and crushed with boots and guns. They gave the day laborers a head start at Home Depot just so they could chase them and give them the fright of their lives.
All of these people were hunted down at work. They aren’t criminals. They aren’t free loading welfare recipients. They’re family people, making a living, minding their own business, happy to be in America.
The masked manboys arrested and apprehended the president of the largest union in California (SEIU), David Huerta. He was injured and had to go to the hospital. He’s a US citizen. A very powerful, unmasked citizen.
I personally have a friend who is a public school teacher whose school lost 3 students yesterday, one of them was one of her students. A kindergartener.
Angelenos aren’t having it. They’re getting in the terrorists’ faces and calling them out, to their faces, without having to wear a mask or poking anybody in the ribs or throat with their long guns. I can’t be in the streets but I can bear witness from my laptop. I’m not standing for this. So I sit. Without a mask.
