Kind of Important

Senate Republicans are getting pissed at their own. They’ve had it with Tubby the Tuba Tommy Tuberville blocking military appointments. Things have escalated to dangerous new levels. The commandant of the Marine Corps had a heart attack because he’s been doing two jobs at once for months because he doesn’t have help. Tuberville blocked his deputy. Some Republicas ripped him a new one on the Senate floor but he won’t budge. The half wit MAGA hick from Alabama is too famous in his state to worry about getting fired from his new job. They love him because he was a college coach and that’s all they needed to know. Just like Trump — he was on TV and that’s all half wits needed to know in order to vote for him. Senators finally confirmed a new ambassador to Israel. KIND OF IMPORTANT. That post has been vacant the entire time the war has been going on because of Tubby the Tuba. The new guy has had decades of experience working for the federal government. He’s highly qualified. His name is Jack Lew and he’s Jewish. Duh.

The Senate Republicans have had it with the Republicans in the House, too. The new Speaker wants to help Israel but not Ukraine. He wants to take the money to help Israel from the IRS budget to do it. Mike McConnell said no way. We’re gonna help Israel and Ukraine at the same time. IT’S KIND OF IMPORTANT.

The Democrats have been saying they’d work with the new Speaker to get things back on track but now they’ve had it with the Republicans too. Democratic Majority Leader Hakeem Jeffries said, “The time for gamesmanship is over. What do my Republican colleagues not get about that? The world is on fire!”

The world is on fire and the US government is headed for another shut down. Republicans better get their shit together because it’s KIND OF IMPORTANT.

Junior and Bleeding Gums Eric testified in New York. They gave boring testimonies, typical rich kid answers (not our fault — we rely on all the people we hire to do all that stuff). Eric said he was pouring concrete when all of those documents were signed. Ivanka said she can’t possibly testify next week because the court meets during the middle of the school day. She relies on other people to raise her kids and take them to school so that excuse got laughed out of court. Not important, Ivanka, and neither are you.

While civil court in New York is going on, the Trump trials in DC, Florida, and Colorado are going on. Judge Chutkan announced that jury selection will begin in DC for Trump’s insurrection trial, Judge Cannon scolded the prosecution in the stolen classified documents case in Florida for submitting documents that were more than 200 words. They’re supposed to be less than 200 words. If they’re over 200 words she won’t read them. She’s in way over her head. Federal prosecutors argued in a new filing that Trump is trying to bullshit the court by trying to delay the classified docs trial but it won’t matter. She is way out of her league but she likes Trump, so her blunders and inexperience could be working for Trump. She should be removed from the case but Smith is kind of busy with big important stuff, so he keeps giving her rope to hang herself. When he gets a break from other important stuff he’ll yank the rope and get her off the case. And then in Colorado, the judge is trying to decide if Trump can be on the ballot for their primary election. KIND OF IMPORTANT. Today is Day #5 of the Colorado case.

President Biden has called for a pause in the fighting in Gaza and Secretary of State Antony Blinken has told Israel that they’ve got to find a way to destroy Hamas without killing so many Palestinians. US drones are flying over Gaza looking for hostages. KIND OF IMPORTANT.

China removed Israel from its maps.

Biden is going to Maine today to comfort those who are grieving from the mass shooting. The shooter is dead. He killed himself like guys like him always do. When the shooter started shooting people in a bowling alley the cops got there right away. It only took them 4 minutes because they were at a nearby shooting range and could hear the gun fire. The massacre shows how much damage can be done with an assault rifle in 4 minutes. That’s KIND OF IMPORTANT to everybody but Republicans.

The US added another 155,000 jobs last month. The unemployment rate is still under 4%. When Biden stepped up to clean up Trump’s mess, unemployment was at nearly 10%. Kind of a big deal and pretty important, but it won’t matter to the Biden haters, even the ones that got new jobs.
