Susan Monarez, the head of the CDC who was confirmed just a month ago, was fired because she rejected RFK, Jr’s push to change her position on the COVID vaccine and she refused. Several top officials quit in protest. Colleagues applauded them as they left.
Republican congresswoman from Maine, Susan Collins, is “extremely concerned” that the head of the CDC is gone. Susan Collins hasn’t been concerned enough to do a town hall in her state. She hasn’t done one in decades. She finally got around to it and she got booed relentlessly.
The emergency classification for the COVID vaccine has been removed so now you may need a prescription to get it. Every state is different.
RFK, Jr says the COVID vaccine is the deadliest vaccine ever invented. The COVID vaccine saved millions of lives, and even more would have been saved if Trump hadn’t played games with it to help his approval rating.

There was a mass shooting at a Catholic school in Minneapolis. The shooter was a former student and shot from outside a window at children during mass. The thoughts and prayers rhetoric that the Republicans usually engage in after every school shooting fell flat this time. The victims were literally praying when they were shot.
Democratic senator Tina Smith from Minnesota told RFK Jr to shut the fuck up during a public hearing because of his insane anti-science nonsense. “Just shut up. Stop peddling bullshit. I dare you to go to that school and say ‘Guns don’t kill kids, anti-depressants do. You should be fired!”
Trump sent out a fundraising email that started with, “I want to try and get to heaven.”
Something is up with Trump’s health but unlike Biden, the media is not reporting on it every day. Trump has been covering up a giant bruise on the top of his hand with makeup and his ankles are really swollen. Both signs of congestive heart failure. He hadn’t been seen in public much last week which got people really excited thinking he was dead.
Insurrectionist Ashli Babbitt, who got herself shot and killed by Capitol Police on January 6 after she tried to bust a window outside the Speaker’s lobby with her foot, is getting a military funeral by the US Air Force after her family successfully sued the federal government for her death and won. In May, the Trump administration agreed to pay them nearly $5 million in a “wrongful death” settlement.
Trump has had the National Guard cleaning up trash and spreading mulch around the White House. If DC was so dangerous, there wouldn’t be any need for mulch. This political theatre is costing $1 million a day.
A federal appeals court ruled that most of Trump’s tariffs are illegal.
Trump held a cabinet meeting and made everybody go around the table and praise him again.
Iowa Republican Senator Joni Ernst is throwing in the towel and not running for re-election.

A judge stopped Trump from deporting 600 children to Guatemala in the wee hours of the morning over Labor Day weekend.
