The impeachment managers of the House somberly walked the Article of Impeachment over to the Senate. Senator Tom Cotton from Arkansas says people are going to really wonder why the Senate is going to bother with this since Trump left office a week ago. That’s not it. They’re going to wonder why they’re doing anything at all since they haven’t done a damn thing for 4 years. Nikki Haley is out there defending Trump, as usual, accusing the Democrats of vengeance. “Let it go!” Kevin McCarthy is saying one thing publicly and another behind closed doors — “We’re eating shit for breakfast, lunch and dinner right now.”
Repubican hypocrite fun fact: Republicans investigated 4 deaths in Benghazi for 853 days but they want to let 5 deaths and an attempted coup by the sitting president go after 20 days, for “the good of the country.”
Senator Rob Portman of Ohio has had enough and has announced that he’s gonna go. He won’t run again in 2022 citing partisan gridlock that he himself helped create.
President Biden signed an executive order that protects transgenders who want to serve in the military. He is also taking the $20 bill up again — taking Andrew Jackson off and putting abolitionist Harriet Tubman on. He has also made it mandatory that everything purchased by the federal government be made in America.

Press secretary Jen Psaki says the White House will start holding briefings with public health officials about 3 times a week to keep the public updated on the government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. You go girl!

Trump has started a new scam — “The Office of Former President.” He’s using the official presidential seal for his letterhead. Go ahead, dickhead. Print up a lot of that letterhead and stick it in a drawer. You won’t be needing it in prison.
The DOJ has charged Garret Miller from Texas with threatening to assassinate Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. He says he’s sorry and blames it all on Trump.
“Trump told me to go” is going to be the most common defense of the white supremacists who tried to take over the US government in Trump’s name.
Many of the insurrectionists won’t be charged or will get a slap on the wrist because we don’t have any domestic terrorist laws. If they were all Muslim we could kill them. Many of those who stormed the Capitol won’t be prosecuted because the DOJ says it would take up too much time and space in jails. That time and space is dedicated to locking up black people for smoking pot and protesting. Jim Crow Part 2 has gotta go. Let all of the black people out and put all of the white supremacists in.
Canada’s House of Commons unanimously passed a motion to designate the Proud Boys as a terrorist organization.
Trump endorsed Sarah Huckabee Sanders for governor of Arkansas. Go Sarah go!
Russ Vought, the guy who led Trump’s Office of Management and Budget, has started a think tank to sustain Trump’s “political movement” (white supremacist totalitarianism.) It’s called The Center for American Restoration. A Trump think tank is an oxymoron. Emphasis on the moron.
Republicans have not been humbled by defeat or being nearly assassinated. They’re as evil as ever and the number of members in Congress who are anti-democracy is growing.
