More progress from the Department of Justice on the insurrection front. It’s looking into fundraisers. A grand jury has been impaneled to look into how the frivolous Kraken lawsuits made it all the way to court. Who paid for them? Lin Wood, Sidney Powell and Mike Flynn? They’re all turning on each other right now. They can’t keep their lies straight. Merrick Garland said they were following the money awhile back. The DOJ has been investigating this for 3 months and nothing has leaked.
The Select Committee interviewed Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger for 4 hours about Trump and his chief of staff, Mark Meadows trying to get him to lie and come up with more votes for him in the 2020 election.
Before the Select Committee could vote to turn Mark Meadows over to the DOJ for contempt of Congress for blowing off his subpoena, he agreed to provide documents and appear for an initial deposition. How much he ends up cooperating is left to be seen. He is, after all, a big fat liar and could be playing for time. He is still devoted to his lord Trump.
A 15 year old high school sophomore in Michigan shot 11 people at his school. 4 students are dead. One student recorded being in lockdown in a classroom with classmates. They jumped out a window, armed with scissors, to escape the shooter who was trying to force his way in. The video was posted on TikTok as if it was just another teen selfie in the bathroom mirror because school shootings are pop culture now.
Republicans are assuming their usual position to invoke Republican Jesus and profess their love and devotion to the zygote to manipulate their voters and donors to remember their right to life. Today the Supreme Court begins hearing Mississippi’s case to over turn Roe v Wade. Bad timing. They’re hearing it the day after a 15 year old white boy took the gun that the Republicans handed him to shoot his classmates and teachers, and they’re going to try and profess their devotion to the sanctity of life. Don’t legislate access to guns so kids don’t kill kids, but legislate kids being forced to give birth to more kids.
The Ghislaine Maxwell child sex trafficking trial has started. Jeffrey Epstein’s private pilot testified and said he never saw anybody having sex with children up in the air because he always kept the door to the cockpit shut. Turns out that Trump, who says he barely knew Epstein, was a passenger on many of those flights.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has sponsored a bill to award teen shooter Kyle Rittenhouse with the congressional gold medal.
Lauren Boebert was caught on tape talking to constituents in Colorado at two separate events, making jokes about Ilhan Omar being a member of the Jihad Squad when she was in an elevator with her. She laughed and said that since she didn’t have a backpack with her they’d probably be OK. As expected, Ilhan Omar got death threats after these videos were made public. Boebert made a half ass attempt to call and apologize but Ilhan hung up on her. This is not a joke.
In 2019 Marjorie Taylor Greene barged into Ilhan Omar’s office to demand that she and Rashida Tlaib retake their oath on a Bible.
Sitting US congressman Republican Madison Cawthorn tweeted: I don’t know who needs to hear this, but our rights do NOT come from the government. They come from God.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is ignoring Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert and Madison Cawthorn. None of them have any business being in Congress. They’re stupid, dangerous lying “Christians.” Kevin McCarhty is a dangerous liar, but he’s not stupid. He knows what he’s doing. He’s ignoring him so they and the rest of the crazies will vote for him for Speaker one day.
TV doctor “Dr Oz” has formally announced his run for US Senate in Pennsylvania even though he hasn’t lived there since he went to college there in the 80s. He lives in New Jersey and has been voting by absentee ballot using a relative’s address. He’s confident he can win because Republican voters are star struck simpletons and he’s on TV! It worked for Trump. Besides, he’s been anointed by Oprah who is the queen of TV. Back in April of 2020 he went on Fox News to say that if kids died from covid it was OK: “Schools are a very appetizing opportunity. I just saw a nice piece in The Lancet arguing the opening of schools may only cost us 2 to 3%, in terms of total mortality. Any, you know, any life is a life lost, but … that might be a tradeoff some folks would consider.”
Anti-vaxxer Christian media mogul and televangelist Marcus Lamb has died from covid.

A new covid variant, Omicron, is starting to take hold. Flights in and out of South Africa, where the variant seems to have originated (25% of the population has been vaccinated) have stopped.
Right wing media is downplaying the new covid variant saying it’s no big deal and that Democrats want to keep people scared so they can control them and win in the midterm elections.
Kayleigh McEnany, who was in the eye of the Trump Plague covid hurricane, and got sick from it herself during a time when the White House was all but empty because Trump wouldn’t let people wear masks or social distance, went on Fox and said, “No one has politicized this virus more than President Joe Biden.”
