Mark Meadows is testifying right now on why his trial should be moved to federal court. All 19 defendants in Fulton County will be arraigned on September 6, and Trump’s trial date in DC for election interference is set for March 2024.
Everything Mark Meadows says on the stand can be used against him or others later. He and the other 18 defendants are out for themselves and have not been coordinating with each other.
Fani Willis took a long time to indict everybody so she could be ready to go to trial on the day she made her announcement. Every “t” has been crossed a couple of times as well as dots for every “i.” She is more than ready.
Trump’s campaign says it raised over $7 million after being booked at the Fulton County Jail.
Fox News’ Jesse Watters got turned on by Trump’s mugshot. “I say this with an unblemished record of heterosexuality. He looks good and he looks hard.”
Defendant Stephen Lee, the Lutheran minister, showed up to his booking wearing his holy man collar for his mug shot. He fucked around by worshipping a false idol and now he’s finding out.
Judge Chutkan heard Trump’s attorneys out, but she didn’t go for any of their BS. “Setting a trial date does not depend and should not depend on the defendant’s personal and professional obligations. Mr. Trump, like any defendant, will have to make the trial date work regardless of his schedule.” His lawyer, John Lauro said they intended to allege this prosecution as a “retaliation” for Trump’s attacks on Biden and his son. If they do that, evidence will be brought in from Trump’s first impeachment trial — he and Rudy cooked up the Hunter Biden story in Ukraine to hurt Joe Biden’s re-election chances.
Prosecutor Molly Gaston argued for a speedy trial because Trump posts about the case daily and is attacking witnesses, the court and DC itself. She fears he will succeed in tainting the jury pool the longer this goes on.
Trump is amplifying QAnon social media accounts which is against court orders. He’s not supposed to retweet anything. He also posted about a political “roomer” he heard.
Trump is an old man. He’s going to spend the rest of his life not only as a criminal and civil defendant, but as a prisoner as well.
Trump can’t go golf at his golf course in Scotland they don’t want him there. Keep the criminals out.
Trump has demanded that House Republicans begin impeachment proceedings against Biden immediately.
60 years ago today, civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr led a March on Washington where he delivered his landmark “I Have a Dream” speech on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Since then, most racists slithered further underground with every passing decade. It wasn’t socially acceptable to be an out and proud racist in most parts of the country. They’ve always been there, but they got quieter when the “white’s only” signs had to come down. Then Trump came along and kicked their rock over so all of the worms, spiders, and roly-poly bugs could all crawl out, empowered by the leadership of their king slug. White supremacy is the base of Trump’s power. They all hate the same people and love Republican Jesus. He not only gave the racists permission to come out and be themselves, but he encouraged them to “take back their country.” By doing this, Trump has shown the rest of us how great we aren’t and how far we still have to go to realize MLK’s dream.
There was a mass shooting in Jacksonville, Florida. The shooter was a white supremacist who used an AR-15 with swastikas drawn on the side. He headed out to shoot Black people. He first targeted an all Black college but he couldn’t get in so he drove a mile away and shot people in a Dollar General store. He killed 3 people before killing himself. He had been held in a psychiatric hospital several years ago and had 2 previous encounters with law enforcement. He shouldn’t have been able to buy a gun. Those things would have come up during a background check if Florida’s gun laws weren’t so loose.
The weekend’s deadly shooting occurred as the community prepared for the commemoration of Ax Handle Saturday, also known as the Jacksonville riot of 1960, a racially motivated attack that took place in Jacksonville in 1960, three years before the March on Washington. Ron DeSantis had the nerve to show up at a vigil to say that targeting Black people has no place in Florida. He was justifiably booed by the crowd. Trump may have egged the shooter on, but DeSantis made it easier for him to carry out his crime by passing laws in Florida that make it harder for Black people to vote and erasing Black history from public schools. Ron DeSantis hates Black people too.
