Make Them Pay
Democrat in name only Joe Mansion is worried that forcing 614 billionaires (131 of whom were created during the covid pandemic that nearly crashed the economy) who don’t pay taxes be made to pay taxes to pay for Biden’s Build Back Better plan would be “divisive.” For who? What’s divisive about making people sitting on a big pile of money that was made on the backs of tax payers, third word laborers, money that sits on top of other money that was never actually earned, or billions saved by not paying taxes pay taxes? Much of their fortunes were derived by exploiting services paid for by tax payers. Take Jeff Bezos for instance. There was no way he could have made his zillions without using the public roads that the rest of us pay for to transport packages for his non-union company, Amazon. MAKE HIM PAY! Joe Mansion says a “billionaire tax” isn’t fair. Fair? FAIR? Make them pay!

If Joe Mansion doesn’t get his way and isn’t able to protect his rich pals, 20 billionaires who are worth $1.8 trillion collectively will pay $345 billion in taxes towards the Build Back Better plan in the first two years. With the rest of the billionaires paying taxes, that should cover the costs of Build Back Better and then some! MAKE THEM PAY!

Multimillionaire Mitt Romney, who said he built his wealth all by himself (meaning he didn’t inherit his fortune from his parents. Making millions by starting a vulture capital firm that made money off of the money that other people made by starting their own businesses and doing all the real work themselves doesn’t count,) says no to a billionaires tax too. He even made a video opposing the “social spending bill.” See what he did there? He called it “social” (short for socialism.) Make him pay!
Joe Mansion isn’t just opposed to billionaires paying for Biden’s Build Back Better plan. He doesn’t want new parents to get time off from work to be with their babies like all of the other moms and dads in other developed nations get. Paid leave for new parents is being blocked by one 74 year old MAN. Even though he’s 74, he doesn’t have to worry about not being able to afford dental implants, hearing aids and glasses that many seniors need but can’t afford because he’s rich. Everybody else his age who is on Medicare won’t be getting these needs covered through Biden’s plan because he’s against expanding Medicare to include vision, dental and hearing. West Virginia is the third oldest state (more seniors live there than 47 other states) and if Mansion had his way, old people would have to go live in poor houses like they used to before Roosevelt came along.

Enough of Joe Mansion (make him pay!) In other news, Brazil’s Senate voted to make their president, Jair Bolsonaro (the Trump of the southern hemisphere) pay by recommending that he be charged with crimes against humanity for letting more than 600,000 Brazilians die from covid. They voted to do this on the same day that Trump endorsed him for re-election.
The US Senate used to be known as the greatest deliberative body in the world. Not any more. The Republicans trashed it. Make them pay!
Turns out that stupid crew members were fucking around with the gun that Alec Baldwin used to accidentally shoot and kill someone on the set of “Rust” in New Mexico. They got bored and decided to shoot shit up for kicks because they were stuck out in the middle of nowhere sitting around doing nothing in between takes so why not? They put the gun back with ammunition still in it. 500 rounds of ammo were recovered on the set. Make them pay.
Speaking of stupid idiots fucking around with guns, Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17 year old MAGA who traveled across state lines to play cop and ended up killing 2 people with his AR 15 style weapon, is getting an unfair trial advantage. The judge instructed the prosecution not to refer to the people he murdered as “victims.” How can there be a double murder trial without any victims? Here we go. Another privileged white “boy” who most likely won’t pay.
Thomas Sibick, one of the domestic terrorists who beat DC police officer Mike Fanone at the Capitol, took his badge and then buried it in his back yard got released from a DC jail because his lawyer told the judge that he was traumatized. He said the environment inside of the jail was “cultish” and “toxic.” The other inmates who were in there for their part in the insurrection would sing the Star Spangled Banner every night and it would freak poor Tommy out. The judge felt sorry for him and released him, a grown man, into the custody of his parents until his trial because he comes from a “good family.” Only 2 conditions — he can’t leave his mom and dad’s house and he’s not allowed to watch Fox News anymore. Make him pay. MAKE THEM ALL PAY.
