No Questions Asked
Trump’s people spent the entire day trying to put out the fire that the Atlantic Monthly started. Kayleigh McEnany did her press briefing standing between two poster boards on easels that said the Atlantic Monthly was basically fake news. After she raced through what Trump wanted her to tell them she ran away from reporters as fast as she could. No questions asked. Who is going to hire her after this job? Fox News. Fox is the only one who hires bleached blondes with no integrity who will say anything you tell them to, no questions asked.
The Associated Press and Washington Post confirmed the Atlantic Monthly story. Fox did too.
National security correspondent, Jennifer Griffin, the only normal looking non-blonde woman with integrity that they have on the payroll, reported the news. Fox reporting real news made news. It pissed Trump off too. They’re not supposed to do that. He tweeted: Jennifer Griffin of Fox News Did Not Confirm ‘Most Salacious‘ Part of Atlantic Story via Breitbart News. All refuted by many witnesses. Jennifer Griffin should be fired for this kind of reporting. Never even called us for comment. Fox News is gone!
Trump did his own press briefing where he bashed General John Kelly and defended Putin. He told reporters that he wished they’d stop asking about Russia and start asking about China.
White House staffers had no choice but to admit that the president was a dick. He didn’t really mean what he said in the Atlantic Monthly. He’s just an asshole. One official said, “The president means no disrespect to our troops - it’s just that’s the way he speaks, he can sound like an asshole sometimes.”
People were furious all day. Various veterans groups and Gold Star family members had a lot to say about what Trump did. All day long they screamed and cried, “Our sons, daughters, husbands, wives, brothers and sisters were not LOSERS and SUCKERS!” People couldn’t hold back their emotions when interviewed. Joe Biden tried, but he admitted it was really hard. He was PISSED. “Who the heck does he think he is?”
Joe Biden will be the first Commander in Chief since Eisenhower to know what it’s like to hug his child one final time before they head off to war.
Eisenhower publicly cried when he spoke about the men who died after he sent them in to battle on D-Day. Trump took a dump on their graves.
Republicans, as expected, said NOTHING. John Kelly said NOTHING.
People are more afraid of Trump tweeting at them than they are about him starting a war out of spite. The generals are silent. No questions asked.
Sally Yates, Marie Yovanovitch, and Fiona Hill have balls. John Kelly, James Mattis and John Bolton do not.
Lindsey Graham made a feeble attempt to cover for Trump by commenting that he was happy to see that Trump saved “Stars and Stripes,” the military newspaper for troops and service family members that has been around since the Civil War. Trump had up until yesterday wanted to get rid of it. Now he’s going to “save” it.
9/4/20 is the day Trump lost both Fox News and the military. Friends, family members, and neighbors watched MAGAs they’re stuck with take their Trump signs and throw them in the trash. No questions asked.
Former Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor said we would pay a terrible price for taking civics classes out of schools. She was right. We have an entire voting bloc that not only doesn’t know how government is supposed to work, but they don’t ask questions. They just do what they’re told.
A well informed citizenry in a healthy democracy questions authority.
One of the bigger lessons we’ve learned from Trump is that leaders matter. The one we’ve got won’t ask or take questions.
