Nancy Pelosi, on the advice of the top Congressional doctor, has reinstated the mandatory mask policy for the Capitol and the repugs are having an absolute fit — making outrageous speeches and giving ridiculous interviews. They show more outrage and conviction over having to wear a mask, which the CDC also recommends, than they do investigating an attack made on them!
Nancy Pelosi has had it with Qevin McCarthy. When asked by reporters to comment on Qevin’s criticism of her reinstating the mask mandate she replied, “He’s such a moron.” Shut the fuck up, McCarthy.
Joe Biden is begging people to get vaccinated. He’s making it mandatory for all federal workers to either get vaccinated or face getting a stick stuck up their nose on a regular basis. Shut the hell up and get the damn vaccine, you fucking morons.
Republican Congressman Chip Roy of Texas had a cow on the House floor over having to wear a mask and shouted that they ought to “shut this place down!” Everybody but Marjorie Taylor Greene wants him to shut the hell up. She was sitting right behind him nodding enthusiastically. Hell no, we won’t Joe!

While some Republicans keep trying to pivot on covid, conspiracy theorists like Marjorie Taylor Greene won’t shut up about Q. Nobody should be dying of covid in the US because everybody over the age of 12 has access to the vaccine. They’re dying because they listen to people like Marjorie Taylor Greene who won’t shut the fuck up.
More kids are in the hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas than any time since the pandemic began. All of their parents are unvaccinated. 24 kids were admitted to one hospital. Half of them were old enough to be vaccinated but weren’t because their parents weren’t vaccinated. Sarah Huckabee Sanders wants to be governor of Arkansas and can’t afford for any more MAGAs to die from covid because she needs their votes. So she wrote an op-ed where she shared that she got the Trump Vaccine.
The county council in St Louis County, Missouri voted to end the mask mandate after being pressured by residents carrying signs that read “End the Tyranny” and “My body my choice.”
MAGA parents stormed a school board meeting in Wisconsin to protest their kids having to wear masks chanting, “Let them breathe!”
Mitch McConnell said he had no idea how hard it would be to convince people to get vaccinated. The guy survived polio as a baby and he hasn’t been shouting GET THE VACCINE from the rooftops?
As infection rates spike and hospital admissions and deaths go back up again, too many Republiqans and right wing media personalities won’t shut up about it being a government conspiracy or the common flu. Mystery solved, Mitch. Your team is killing people.
In other news, Trump and White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows called the acting attorney general, Jeffrey Rosen (who took over after Bill Barr resigned in late December,) every day until the attack on the Capitiol to get him to “investigate” voter fraud and intercede in certifying the election results. Both of them could be questioned by the select committee. The DOJ said it won’t seek to invoke executive privilege for them. It won’t provide Mo Brooks, who organized meetings in the White House with Trump and other members of Congress to talk about plans for January 6, with legal counsel because he participated in the Stop the Steal rally as a citizen and not a member of Congress. He stupidly admitted that he was wearing body armor when he gave his speech, encouraging people to storm the Capitol because he expected violence. Jim Jordan was at those planning meetings in the White House, too. He just stupidly admitted that he talked to Trump on January 6.
Qevin McCarthy put Jim Jordan on the select committee to investigate the attack on the Capitol. Jim Jordan helped plan it! Qevin is so desperate and out of control that he’s got House Republicans back out in front of the Capitol this morning, giving another press conference to rage against Pelosi and Biden. Shut the fuck up you guys. Just SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP.
