Today is March 4, the day QAnon weirdos believe that Trump will be crowned the real king. Security around the Capitol is really tight, just in case those people want to go for Insurrection II. Trump has tripled the room rates at his DC hotel for the ordination. The legislative plan for today has been canceled due to those people. The United States government is under threat of attack again by Trump’s people. The FBI and DHS have both issued warnings that domestic extremists are preparing to “take control of the US Capitol and remove democratic lawmakers on or about the 4th of March.”
Threats against members of Congress have gone up 94% from last year.
The second congressional hearing on the January 6 attack featured Maj. Gen. William Walker, the commander of the National Guard in DC. He testified that he got very “unusual” instructions a few days before the attack. He was told to wait for approval from Trump’s people before deploying any troops. He didn’t need any of that kind of approval during the summer when the National Guard was used to intimidate Black Lives Matter protesters.
The Capitol Hill police begged for back up but didn’t get any for over 3 hours. Trump’s people at the Department of Defense withheld deployment because it would be “bad for optics.” Did Lt. General Charles Flynn (Mike Flynn’s brother) act on his own when he withheld troops or was he given an order by Trump? Did Trump install last minute loyalists at the Pentagon because the coup was already planned? Was the insurrection an inside job?
Attorneys for Congressman Bennie Thompson and the NAACP have served Trump with their lawsuit suing him for his role in the attack on the Capitol.
The House Oversight Committee reissued a subpoena for Trump’s financial records.

The House really hustled last night to vote on things that were slated for today. They passed HR1, the For the People Act, which gives power to the people by expanding voting access, limiting corporate spending on campaigns, taking power away from wealthy individuals and special interests, instituting new ethics rules, letting people register to vote on election day and voting 2 weeks early, speeding up lines at the ballot box, fixing crappy voting machines, halting voter roll purges, eliminating stupid rules to keep people from voting by absentee ballot, and keeping Republicans from drawing their own districts to harness Republican voters. None of the Republicans voted for it. They’re against equity and access when it comes to citizens voting.

The George Floyd Justice in Policing Act of 2021 passed in the House without a single Republican vote. The bill overhauls qualified immunity, bans chokeholds at the federal level, prohibits no knock warrants in federal drug cases, outlaws racial profiling, and establishes a national registry of police misconduct. All things that Republicans, white supremacists, and shitty people are against.
Several House Republicans booed Congresswoman Maxine Waters, who is black, after she made her remarks in favor of the Justice In Policing Act.
Senator Ron Johnson is planning on making people suffer longer by prolonging the debate and votes on the relief bill that passed the House as long as possible in hopes that it will turn public opinion against it. He’s going to have the parliamentarian read the entire bill (over 700 pages) to waste time and piss people off. Things are getting worse for people with every passing day and he plans on letting many more days pass just because he can. He’s the 4th richest person in the Senate so he’s completely out of touch with what every day means to every day people. This is just a game to him.
Former Transportation Secretary and wife of the most powerful Republican member of Congress, Elaine Chao, could be in deep shit for using her office to benefit her father’s Chinese shipping business. She was also supposed to divest from her own interest in a road construction gravel company because that was a conflict of interest and she never did. In December 2020, the IG turned the case over to Trump’s corrupt Justice Department and the US attorney’s office in Washington DC to prosecute and neither one would open an investigation. Trump gave her the job after her husband, Mitch McConnell, helped him win in 2016. They were already filthy rich but now they’re even richer because they both worked for Trump.
We the People means rich Republicans like Mitch McConnell and his wife, and Ron Johnson, not “you people.” You people as in all of US.
