Performative Protest
The ground war in Gaza has begun. Israel has moved in with tanks and fighter jets for their “payback campaign” (they were attacked first, remember?). The goal is to destroy the Hamas military group and all of its terror tunnels, underground combat spaces and other underground infrastructure and rescue 220 hostages. Civilians on both sides are paying the price for this war. Total death count so far is 8,000 Palestinians and 1,400 Israelis. Civilians always pay the biggest price during war.
The Hamas control center is located directly under Gaza’s largest hospital.
Gaza is not the only region experiencing violence. Israel keeps getting hit and is semi-paralyzed.
Global anti-semitism is on the rise.
A pro Hamas mob stormed the runway at an airport in Russia to lynch passengers who flew in from Tel Aviv. They went from plane to plane on the tarmac chanting, “Tell us where the Jews are!” and “Kill the Jews!”
The kosher dining hall at prestigious Cornell University in New York went on lockdown after anti-semitic protesters made violent threats. They threatened to follow Jews back to their dorms and homes and slit their throats. They called for the rape of “Jew women,” burning down the hall, and a mass shooting.
There are a lot of performative displays happening across the country. Many “free Palestine” protesters are so far left, either naively forgetting the dead Israelis, or they are blatantly anti-semitic, that they have joined hands with the MAGA far right who hate everybody. Sympathetic protesters who are in the streets and on college campuses demanding things they don’t understand are pushing old timer leftists who do understand further to the middle which is weird. None of them see themselves as “moderate.”
What far left demonstrators don’t understand is centuries of violent history. There are no gay bars anywhere in the Middle East except for in Israel. Nobody in the Middle East would accommodate sympathetic protesters’ pronouns except for in Israel. Women can’t wear bikinis anywhere in the Middle East except for in Israel (and maybe Jordan). Women are more equal in Israel than they are in America. Nobody in the Middle East can openly criticize their government except for in Israel. If Palestinians protested Hamas they’d be lined up and shot in the head (Hamas shot 30 protesters in the back of the head during the 7 week war in Gaza in 2014). Palestinians haven’t risen up against Hamas for a long time because they know they’ll get shot in the head.
Hamas has been in control of Gaza since 2007. Their only friends in the region are Iran and other terrorist groups. They use the Palestinians as human shields. Are the protesters protesting that or are they laying everything on Israel?
Hey protesting college kids and new found social justice warriors! Did you notice that while you’re calling for a cease fire in Gaza that a Christian nationalist was just elected Speaker? He sincerely believes that most of you are abnormal and un-American and wants to force you all to pray to his God in the name of America. His wife, Kelly, just scrubbed her website for her organization, Onward Christian Counseling Services. They put being gay, bisexual or transgender in the same category as someone who has sex with animals or family members. LGBTQ lefty protesters have been accused of bestiality and incest by the wife of the second in line to the presidency. Protest that.
The gays were burned right alongside the Jews in Germany during the Holocaust. 6 million Jews were exterminated. The ones that survived had no place to go after the war. Nobody would take them in, including the US. That’s how the sovereign state of Israel was established. Attacks have been made on Israel since the very beginning. They fought back while dealing with the reception of homeless immigrants at the same time.
The Jews were in Israel first. They got kicked out a long time ago. It’s in the freaking Bible (the book that MAGAs have never read but claim they have and far lefties have never read because they protest it).
Look out for false equivalencies, kids. Kids in college should know better.
The Jews have defended everybody else when various groups have been the target of violence and hate — Black Lives Matter, civil rights protests, the Muslim ban, gay rights, the women’s liberation movement, etc., because they understand oppression and the consequences of collective hatred better than anybody. Why is nobody showing up for them?

Is what is going on in Gaza terrible and wrong? YES. Is it simple? NO.
Protest? Yes. Performative protest? No.
