Republican Secrets
Yesterday was a very taxing day for Trump. His businesses were convicted on all 9 charges of criminal tax fraud and face up to $1.6 million in fines and back taxes. They engaged in a scheme to defraud the government and stick it to honest tax payers for 13 years. Their secret is out. The verdict should strengthen Attorney General Letitia James’s fraud suit she filed against Trump and his kids in September. The non-cash compensation that Trump has been giving to his executives to avoid paying taxes has been going to his kids, too.
On top of being convicted of tax fraud, the Select Committee has decided it will make criminal referrals to the DOJ for the main organizers and leaders of the January 6 attack, all of whom were very close to Trump. The report will include the missing secret Secret Service texts agents have been lying about to protect Trump. Also, Special Counsel Jack Smith subpoenaed local officials in Arizona, Michigan and Wisconsin for any and all communications with Trump, his campaign and people close to Trump, some of whom no doubt will show up in the Select Committee’s final report. And finally, Stephen Miller was at the federal courthouse for 3 hours. Nobody knows for sure why because it’s a secret, but multiple grand juries are investigating Trump.
In the 3 weeks since Trump announced he was running in 2024, a jury found his companies guilty of tax fraud, he dined with Nazis at his private club, he called for the termination of the Constitution, the new special counsel subpoenaed some of his enablers, the IRS gave the Dems his tax returns, and an appeals court threw out his lawsuit to delay the DOJ’s investigation of him stealing top secret documents.
Trump wasn’t the only Republican leader who was disgraced yesterday. Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy were snubbed at an awards ceremony in the rotunda at the Capitol where officers who defended Congress and democracy were given the highest honor, the Congressional Gold Medal. Officers and family members from the United States Capitol Police and the DC Metropolitan Police Department were there to receive their awards from and before members of Congress. They shook hands with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Leader Chuck Schumer as part of the ceremony, but refused to shake hands with McConnell and McCarthy who stood there looking stupid, holding the medals. Some went so far as to turn around so they wouldn’t have to even walk by them. They weren’t being rude. They were making a statement. They refused to acknowledge them because McConnell and McCarthy not only refused to acknowledge their sacrifice, but they blamed them for not doing enough! McCarthy has been bragging about his pledge to put an end to all January 6 investigations once he becomes Speaker. 21 Republicans voted NOT to give the officers medals. They refused to meet with them and their families after the attack. They have shown no gratitude for them saving their lives. Some even blew off attending a ceremony for Officer Sicknick as his body lied in state inside the Capitol. Sicknick is dead because of Trump. He waited for 3 hours to stop the attack, which put officers through unnecessary violence and trauma, yet McCarthy had the nerve to say, in front of cameras, that their heroism “will not be forgotten.” Forgotten? He hasn’t even properly acknowledged them and has been protecting Trump ever since he made his trek down to Mar-a-Lago a week after the insurrection.
The Georgia run-off for the US Senate race was yesterday and while the votes were being counted, Kevin McCarthy went on Fox News to scare old white people about the border and human trafficking. He said he saw a video of woman who was a victim of human trafficking who had had her legs cut off and was hanging from a tree after being set on fire. He must be thinking of the thousands of Black people who were lynched by people who resemble present day Republicans in Congress. They not only accused Black people of crimes they didn’t commit (the most popular being the raping of white women) they didn’t give them trials. They took “justice” into their own hands by hunting down and terrorizing people before killing them. They tortured them first, for hours, for entertainment. They’d cut fingers, toes, and tongues off while they were alive, drag them through the streets still alive, light them on fire while still alive, before hanging them. Then they’d use their dead bodies for target practice and shoot them for fun. Lots of white people would attend these lynchings and bring their kids. Many of them took pieces of the corpse as a souvenir. Very, very few white people were ever prosecuted for such horrific torture and murder. In fact, most of the time law enforcement was in on it. These crimes weren’t reported in the media either. Black journalist and co-founder of the NAACP, Ida B. Wells, kept track of the lynchings, though, in great, gory detail. This particular crime against humanity is one of the MANY things that Republicans don’t want children to learn about in school. Take for instance Governor Ron DeSantis in Florida with his anti-woke laws. He’s in court right now, trying to protect white supremacists’ secrets. His lawyers were asked to define “woke” and they answered, “the belief that there are injustices in American society and the need to address them.” Republicans call liberals “woke” to insult them when it’s really a compliment. They’re willing and eager to learn about, and deal with, America’s secrets. Republicans don’t want to be woke. They want to stay in the closet with America’s skeletons.
Senator Raphael Warnock won his fourth race in two years last night. The midterms are finally over. The Dems have the Senate 51–49. Why two run offs? Because of Jim Crow and the laws that Republicans in Georgia keep making to keep woke people from voting. Governor Brian Kemp recently signed one of those Jim Crow laws in secret, behind closed, in front of a painting of a plantation, surrounded by white men.
1.7 million anti-woke people voted for an imbecile, a wife and mistress beater, a baby killer, a dead beat dad, a pathological liar, a cartoon black man, a joke. His candidacy was a minstrel show. How could so many people vote for Herschel Walker? Because their current senators aren’t white. One is a Jew and one is a Black man and they can’t have that. 1.7 million voted for Herschel Walker because he would do exactly as he was told, by Jim Crow, and never tell their secrets.
