Republicans are keeping control of the House of Representatives. There will be 208 Democrats and 218 Republicans. That’s great for Trump but bad for the country and the world. If Mike Johnson is re-elected Speaker of the House, he’ll be Trump’s puppet while Trump continues to be Putin’s puppet.
South Dakota Senator John Thune was elected Senate Majority Leader, replacing Mitch McConnell. John Thune was one of the Republicans who spent the Fourth of July in Moscow during Trump’s first term. He was all for lifting sanctions on Russia. They met in secret with the Russians on the day that the Senate Intelligence Committee formally announced that it believes that Russia attacked our election to get Trump elected the first time. He’s been in Congress a long time. When Clinton was president he voted to impeach him for obstruction of justice. He said of Clinton, “Lying to the American people is a betrayal of trust. The pattern of deception and dishonesty that acts as a bodyguard to this president strikes at the very core of his ability to lead.” He was against a commission to look into the attack on the Capitol on January 6. He has an A+ rating from the NRA and is against gay marriage.
Trump’s pick for Attorney General? Florida Republican congressman Matt Gaetz. He was part of the insurrection and is on record for saying that he wasn’t worried about getting busted because Trump will just pardon him. He’s been under investigation for other crimes and will get to put an end to all of it once he becomes AG.
Trump picked Florida Senator Marco Rubio to be Secretary of State. He has a propensity for posting Bible quotes so brace yourselves for a Republican Jesus department of justice. He was anti-Dr Fauci and was publicly very reckless when it came to COVID, but he cut in line and got the vaccine first, even before health care workers got it. He’s totally opposed to Social Security and Medicare and wants to abolish both. In 2012 he formally said the attorney general was not above the law and should be held in contempt by Congress, but not so when it came to Bill Barr. He said that convicting Trump would be “stupid.” He ran against Trump in 2016 and got royally humiliated by him. He took it and let Trump kick him around for years and has now been rewarded with getting to be Secretary of State. Marco Rubio is one of the Republican senators who has accepted money from Russia.
Trump picked Congressman Mike Waltz of Florida to serve as his national security adviser. Mike Waltz was one of 126 Republicans in Congress who signed Ken Paxton’s letter to overturn the election.
Trump picked Kristi Noem, governor of South Dakota to run the Department of Homeland Security. She wrote a book and admitted to killing the family puppy then lied about meeting with Kim Jong-un so people hate her. She has been kissing Trump’s butt ever since COVID. Her state was a disaster when it came to COVID, and it was mostly her fault because she was an anti-vaxxer, anti-masker, and a big believer in Trump’s hydroxychloroquine remedy — she promoted it in her state. She’s a nationalist who shared personal information of residents of her state with the federal government. She got a private donor to cover the costs of the state’s national guard being sent to the border. Governor Kristi Noem told immigrants to call her when they’re American. She is anti-abortion and introduced a bill to bring prayer into schools.
Susie Wiles is the new chief of staff. She used to be one of Trump’s campaign strategists.
Trump picked Tulsi Gabbard for director of national intelligence. She ran for president as a Democrat in 2016 and lost then she left the Democratic party. She’s a kook. Trump made her and Robert Kennedy, Jr. honorary co-chairs of his presidential transition team that will help him select policies and personnel. She called Trump “Saudi Arabia’s bitch” on Twitter several years ago. Trump may not know about that.
Lee Zeldin has been picked to oversee the EPA. He has a score of 14% from the League of Conservation Voters on his votes on environmental issues in his 15 years in Congress. The department has been around since 1970 and he’s going to kill it. Zeldin is also one of the 126 Republicans who signed off on overturning the election. He compared the murder of Alexei Navalny by Putin to the Democrats trying to get Trump prosecuted.
Putin’s top aide says now that Trump won the election it’s payback time. He has “obligations” — repaying Putin for helping him with the election.
Trump plans on doing everything in the dark with executive orders. He is making appointments that he is not wanting the Senate to confirm. If he keeps them “acting” like he did in his first term, he can boss them around and fire them at will.
He’s got the Supreme Court in his back pocket so if anything ends up there, he’s covered.
Special counsel Jack Smith is wrapping up his work on two federal prosecutions of Trump and is going to resign with the rest of the team. Trump will not be prosecuted for any of his many crimes against the United States of America. Now he’s president again. Trump got out of it all and is poised to run the world with Putin.
