Trump tweeted this morning that if Democrats try to impeach him, “I would first head to the US Supreme Court.” He’s on a roll this morning, ramping up the national emergency with talk about Mexicans pulling guns on border patrol and another caravan headed our way. “The Coyotes & Cartels have weapons!”
Racist, homophobic, xenophobic, sexist, paranoid, self righteous, lazy, gullible pissed off half wits in red hats in “real America” have weapons. LOTS OF THEM.
Carl Kline was told by the White House not to comply with a subpoena for a deposition into security clearances so he didn’t show up. He blew Congress off. This is an in your face complete defiance of Congress and the rule of law. Carl Kline gave out security clearances in the White House like ecstasy at a rave. He gave them to over 2 dozen questionable characters, including Jared Kushner.
Steve Mnuchin defied the order to release Trump’s tax returns. In your face, Congress.
The White House is trying to keep former White House counsel Don McGahn from showing up to testify before Congress on May 2. Don McGhan was cited 150 times in the Mueller Report.
Acting White House Chief of Staff and Budget Director, Mick Mulvaney, a former member of Congress, told former Homeland Security Secretary, Kirstjen Nielsen, not to bring up the subject of Russian interference in the 2020 election to Trump.
Bill Barr got a waiver to supervise a case linked to the investigation of illegal donations to Trump’s inauguration slush fund.
Trump is obstructing justice to keep from being investigated for obstructing justice. He has moved from obstruction of justice in the Mueller investigation to obstruction of Congress. He keeps expanding his powers, waving his thumb at Congress and the law.
Trump told the Washington Post that he has no reason to comply with Congress.
The president of the United States said he will not follow the law he swore to uphold and defend. In your face, America.
Trump told all staffers they should not testify on Capitol Hill. He said, “There is no reason to go any further, especially in Congress where it’s very partisan.”
Elizabeth Warren is sticking her neck out on impeachment because she’s a true leader. Some Dems are hiding behind “Let’s wait and see” and Republicans are saying “No way.” She said has called for a vote not only because it’s Congress’ constitutional duty, but because it would make members of congress accountable to their constituents, “If there are people in the House or the Senate who want to say that’s what a president can do when the president is being investigated … then they should have to take that vote and live with it for the rest of their lives.”
Trump has ordered officials to boycott the Correspondents’ Dinner.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders hasn’t held a formal press briefing in 44 days. That’s a new record. The president was found to have obstructed justice in Robert Mueller’s report released a week ago and she won’t do her job and answer questions from the press.
Trump had a private meeting with the CEO of Twitter to complain that he’s losing followers.
Racist Iowa congressman Steve King says he can relate to the suffering of Jesus after he was censured earlier this year for defending white nationalism. Christ was unfairly accused too.
Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of Republican president George W. Bush, had an ectopic pregnancy which means a fertilized egg attached itself inside the fallopian tube instead of the uterus which means that as it grew, it could kill her. She had to have an abortion to save her life. She’s not a baby killer.
Nancy Pelosi is publicly saying hold off on impeachment. She needs time to bring most Americans up to speed plus she needs to keep Trump from blowing up the world in retaliation. She doesn’t have enough public support right now. In order to get that, she’ll need to show people what Trump did, on TV, with lots and lots of hearings, which will humiliate the shit out of Trump and make his life a living hell. That will be great TV.
The Dems will start the impeachment process without using the word, “impeachment.”
It’s “hearings”. Not “impeachment.”
