Shut Up Already

Trump spent $230,000 a day on legal bills last month. Now that his daughter in law and other MAGA operatives have taken over the RNC, they will be fundraising to pay Trump’s PAC $230,000 a day. Whatever is left over can go to paying RNC bills or donating to other Republican campaigns.

Trump told the Republicans to shut down the government to undermine the criminal proceedings against him.

The New York Attorney General Letitia James is moving in on Trump’s properties. If he doesn’t cough up half a billion dollars by Monday she’s going to start seizing his properties, starting with Seven Springs, a 212-acre forested family estate in Westchester County. She has placed liens on all properties that belong to Trump, Junior, Bleeding Gums Eric, the Trump Organization, and two of their other listed corporate entities.

Fox News talking head and chair of the American Conservative Union who is under investigation for sexual assault, Matt Schlapp, is encouraging his Christian nationalist tribe to move out of New York because Letitia James is out to get them. New York says, “Bye!”

MAGA lawyer Stefanie Lambert was arrested for illegally accessing Michigan voting machines after the 2020 election. Maybe the RNC will throw her a few bucks for her legal fees.

Ashli Babbitt’s mom says Trump called her and promised that he would release the January 6 “political prisoners” if he gets back into office. She was arrested for not complying with cops when she was at the Capitol commemorating the insurrection. She refused to pay for an event permit to legally protest and refused to stay out of traffic.

Jim Jordan, a member of Congress who helped organize the insurrection and hasn’t been indicted for it yet, and is presently using his power to try and impeach the sitting president, chaired a congressional hearing about locker room safety. This would be unremarkable if it weren’t for his former career as a college wrestling coach who looked the other way while the team doctor sexually assaulted his wrestlers in the locker room shower for years. Congressman Eric Swalwell called out the irony, “I guess it’s a good thing that some folks on the other side are interested in what happens in a locker room. We’re not going to look the other way.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene has moved to vacate Mike Johnson as Speaker. A few days ago she held a hearing on black market baby organ harvesting. The few people who actually showed up were there because they were told there were would be snacks.

In other news, the Biden administration has erased another $5.8 billion in federal loans for nearly 78,000 borrowers and has sued Apple for creating a monopoly in the smartphone market by blocking competitors from accessing hardware and software features of the iPhone.

Biden has been winning 85–90% of the Democratic electorate. He has received more than 10 million votes in the Democratic primary, the most ever for an incumbent Democratic president so maybe the media and pollsters should rethink their low polling narrative. Shut up about Biden being unpopular already.

The stock market closed at an all-time high two days in a row because Biden is president and Trump is not.
