Trump is blaming the media and immigration for the shootings over the weekend. He tweeted this morning: This legislation with desperately needed immigration reform. We must have something good, if not GREAT, come out of these two tragic events! The Media has a big responsibility to life and safety in our Country. Fake News has contributed greatly to the anger and rage that has built up over many years. News coverage has got to start being fair, balanced and unbiased, or these terrible problems will only get worse!
For a few years now Trump has been telling his cult followers that dangerous caravans of outsiders are invading us from the south, infesting our country. They’re bringing crime. They’re bringing drugs. They’re rapists. When his crowd in Florida shouted “Shoot them!” he laughed and said you can get away with that in the panhandle.
Trump’s campaign has run approximately 2,200 Facebook ads since May 2018 mentioning the word “invasion.”
Yesterday Trump told the press that he has done more for gun legislation than Obama ever did. He blamed mental illness for the shootings and wouldn’t answer any questions about white nationalism.
Republican hypocrite fun fact: Trump found time to crash a wedding between massacres in Texas and Ohio while he was lounging around his private club at taxpayer expense.
The lieutenant governor of Texas says more school prayer will stop mass shootings.
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine tried to do a thoughts and prayers vigil but the crowd wouldn’t let him give them his condolences. They chanted, “Do Something!”
After the shootings Kellyanne Conjob took to Twitter to lecture everybody about “coming together” and not “pointing fingers.” Twitter ripped her a new asshole. She has so many.
The domestic terrorist, Cesar Sayoc, who went to Trump rallies and drove around in a van plastered with Trump propaganda stickers plastered all over it, faces sentencing today for mailing bombs to Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, George Soros, Tom Steyer, Robert De Niro, Eric Holder, Maxine Waters, Cory Booker, John Brennan, James Clapper and CNN.
There was a drive by shooting in Chicago but it barely made the news because only 7 people were shot.
The press hounded Beto O’Rourke in El Paso with stupid questions like “Is there anything Trump can do now to make this better?” He wasn’t having it. His city is in shambles, grieving, hurting. “What do you think? You know the shit he’s been saying. He’s been calling Mexican immigrants racists and criminals. I don’t know, like, members of the press, what the fuck? Hold on a second. You know I, it’s these questions that you know the answer to. I mean, connect the dots about what he’s been doing in this country. He’s not tolerating racism, he’s promoting racism. He’s not tolerating violence, he’s inciting racism and violence in this country. So, you know, I just, I don’t know what kind of question that is.”
Matt Gaetz says he stands with Ohio and Texas. Ohio and Texas don’t want him standing with them. Not after he tried to throw 2 grieving Parkland fathers out of a House Judiciary meeting on HR8 saying we didn’t need more gun laws, we needed a wall.
There is already a gun legislation bill that passed the House in February, HR8, waiting for a vote in the Senate but Moscow Mitch is sitting on it. He conveniently fell at his home in Kentucky this weekend and broke his collar bone so he couldn’t fly back to DC to call for a vote even if he wanted to. Also, now that he is laid up with a broken collar bone he doesn’t have to face his very angry constituents during recess. He tried doing a couple of events last week and the crowd nearly burned him at the partake screaming, “MOSCOW MITCH! MOSCOW MITCH!!”
Trump is traveling to El Paso and Dayton on Wednesday. What do you want to bet he does a press conference on the tarmac of both airports with just the press to avoid the possibility of getting yelled at by El Paso and Dayton?
Trump has been deleting tweets that could implicate him for inciting violence and murder.
Mexico said the El Paso mass shooting is as an act of terrorism against Mexicans in the United States and is taking legal action.
After Clinton banned assault weapons in 1994, mass shooting deaths dropped by 43%. After the Republican congress let the ban expire 10 years later, mass shootings went up by 239%.
2 things we can do right now to save lives: Impeach Trump and restore the ban on assault weapons. He is abusing his power to incite violence. He’s a criminal. He’s a white supremacist. He must be stopped.
