Suckers and Losers
A new article in Atlantic Monthly outs Trump’s disdain for the military, which he believes is beholden only to him, not the country. In it we learn that the scheduled visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery near Paris back in 2018 was cancelled not because he didn’t want to get his hair wet in the rain as originally reported, but because he didn’t want to have to go pay respects to a bunch of dead losers. Trump said that the 1,800 marines who lost their lives at Belleau Wood were suckers for getting killed fighting a war he knew nothing about. When John McCain died he told his senior aides that he wasn’t going to support that loser’s funeral. When he saw flags flying at half staff it pissed him off. “What the fuck are we doing that for? Guy was a fucking loser.” At a ceremonial visit to Arlington Cemetery on Memorial Day in 2017, he turned to General John Kelly who was head of Homeland Security at the time and whose son was buried where they were standing (he died serving in Afghanistan,) “I don’t get it. What was in it for them?” He’s only been to Dover AFB to receive fallen soldiers 4 times. He just wants to use the military for parades in his honor but doesn’t want any wounded veterans or amputees in his parades — “Nobody wants to see that.”
Trump didn’t suffer any political damage for slamming Senator John McCain and for lying about getting out of going to Vietnam when he ran the first time. MAGAs didn’t care. They still voted for him. They aren’t going to care after this breaking news either. They don’t care any more about the military than he does.
Republicans have not only not denounced what was written in the Atlantic Monthly, they haven’t even acknowledged it. They’re with Trump. He’s their guy. He’s their commander in thief.
“That’s a smart guy. Why is he in the military?” — President Donald J. Trump
“He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.” — Donald J. Trump
Was Dwight D. Eisenhower a sucker and a loser? Does Trump even know who he was?
Tweeters are digging up old tweets by Trump where he calls John McCain a loser and retweeting them.
The White House and Sarah Fuckabee Sanders called the Atlantic Monthly article BS.
Trump said the article was a “disgrace,” that the people who were involved in it were “lowlifes,” and that he never called John McCain a loser. Fake news!
The tweet that Trump made on July 18, 2015 calling John McCain a loser is getting retweeted a lot today.
The Commander in Chief thinks of all service members as suckers, dead soldiers as losers, and live soldiers as disposable toys. He ignored the bounties that Russia put on American soldiers’ heads, told senior advisers he didn’t understand why they wasted time and resources trying to find soldiers missing in action because they had performed poorly and had gotten caught so they got what they deserved so so what, ruined Lt Col Alexander Vindman’s career for having the guts to stand up to him, mocked Gold Star families and told his kids that he’d cut them off if they joined the military.
Trump desecrated the most sacred spot in the CIA building, the wall honoring fallen intelligence officers, when he stood before it within days of becoming president and made everybody bow to him.
Trump has been bragging about all that he has done for veterans as president. He took credit for getting Veterans Choice passed. It was John McCain’s initiative and it was signed into law in 2014.
Press Secretary Barbie did her bogus press briefing yesterday standing in between 2 screens projecting a looping video of Nancy Pelosi getting her hair done.
Suckers and losers are going to vote for Trump on Nov 3.
60 days until we get to vote.
