The Last Laugh

The second House Judiciary Committee hearing was called to order this morning. A hatless MAGA with a Proud Boy beard, Owen Shroyer, an InfoWars “reporter” who pushed Pizzagate, stood up and yelled that Jerry Nadler and the Democrats are committing treason. He was escorted out. Everybody laughed at him, kind of like how the world leaders laughed at Trump at NATO and how everybody laughed at the SNL sketch of Macron, Trudeau and Boris sitting at the cool kids’ table in the NATO lunch room after they taped an “Impeach Me” sign to Trump’s back.

MAGAs are ridiculous. Laughing at them is the best antidote to cult speak.

Ranking member Republican Doug Collins, performing for the Fox News audience, called the proceedings a “focus group impeachment.” He says that the proceedings will be known by the saying, “Where is the impeachable offense?” Fox News viewers get told that there is no impeachable offense on a daily basis which makes them feel in the know and smarter than everybody else. Everybody else knows there is a list of impeachable offenses. Fox news viewers say, “What’s so funny?”

The inspector general’s report on whether or not the FBI spied on Trump is going to be released today. The QAnon weirdos expect that this report will expose government corruption and lead to thousands of arrests. Unarmed liberals are sitting in their houses watching the House Judiciary Committee hearing on TV, awaiting their fate, laughing at the very stupid idea.

“It’s Q-Day? Damn, I forgot to buy a card.” — Some guy on Twitter

“Two years of QAnon — the 2nd Qanniversary, if you will — and SOMEHOW no mass arrests. The ‘67000 sealed indictments’ never resulted in cases. No one has been shipped to GITMO. It’s almost…ALMOST…as if Qanon was a con targeting credulous hick boomer rubes.” — Rick Wilson

Trump tweeted and retweeted 100 times on Sunday completely oblivious to the absolute fact that the whole world is laughing at him.

A reporter from the Intercept respectfully and professionally approached Devin Nunes at a fundraiser and asked him “What were your phone calls to Parnas about?” Nunes ran away from him and then turned around in a panic, armed with a phone camera, shaking, then took pictures of the reporter and cameraman. He posted this on Twitter: This guy stalked me in hotel lobby after my appearance on @foxandfriends Saturday AM maybe he was in Vienna with @cnn. Q the laugh track.

Trump is always tweeting and Devin Nunes is always going on Fox. Neither one of them actually work. They’re both a parody of themselves and the GOP but nobody is laughing because it’s not funny. It’s scary.

Devin Nunes is as freaked out as Trump is right now.

Nervous laughter.

Ted Cruz went on Meet the Press and said Ukraine meddled in our election. Chuck Todd laughed in his face.

Everybody is always laughing at Ted Cruz.

Attorney Barry Berke is in the House. He’s playing clips of Trump impeaching himself so Trump made it to the hearing after all.

Look who’s laughing now.
