The Smoking Gun Keeps Firing
Trump is standing out on 5th Ave shooting everybody 2 weeks before he gets evicted from the People’s House. The mob boss is caught on tape calling Georgia’s Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and committing both state and federal crimes by pleading, threatening, insulting, flattering and coercing the elections official for an hour, trying to talk him into “finding” 11,780 ballots so he can win Georgia. This was Trump’s 18th attempt to get Raffensperger on the phone.
Trump claimed he won Georgia by hundreds of thousands of votes and rambled on and on about all of the conspiracy theories that he’s heard on Fox, OANN, Newsmax and weird websites. Raffensberger remained respectfully quiet until Trump had exhausted himself with the bullshit. When Raffensberger tried to gently and respectfully suggest that Trump is getting inaccurate information from social media Trump said, “This is not social media. This is Trump media.”
Even if Raffensberger went along with it Trump wouldn’t have won with just Georgia so he had to have done the same thing with other states. How many more tapes are there?
Brad Raffensperger is a dying breed — a Republican patriot.
Trump was already impeached for doing the exact same thing.
Joe Biden better pick a very aggressive attorney general to prosecute this. The law Trump broke is 18 USC §2385 which makes urging the overthrow of the US government by force, violence or assassination a crime punishable by up to 20 years in jail. The first amendment won’t protect him here.
This is way way worse than Watergate. This is mob stuff.

Trump is a malignant narcissist, a psychopath. He doesn’t live in the same world that the rest of us live in. He lives in his own world and plays by and breaks his own rules. If there are no legal, societal, or occupational consequences for his crimes, his feelings of impunity will be validated as correct all along and he will never stop. He’s gotten away with his crimes for over half a century.

As usual, Republicans are saying nothing. If a Democrat had done this they’d be doing press conferences every hour. They can’t shrug this one off as locker room talk. Will the media shrug and just say, “It raises legal questions?” and never ask any questions? Will the Republicans say that was just Trump being Trump? Will the next AG investigate? Will the Dems let it go and say we need to move on? Will all the traitors in Congress who are trying to overthrow the election take it all back now or stay on the record for Trump didn’t lose the election? Will this be normalized like everything else over the past 4 years?
Republicans didn’t care when Trump was heard on tape admitting to sexually assaulting women. They didn’t care when he was caught on tape plotting an attack on a US ambassador. They didn’t care when he was caught on tape lying about and downplaying the pandemic. They didn’t care when he was caught extorting Ukraine with “I would like you to do us a favor, though.” They won’t care about this.
Every network should have interrupted regular programming with this breaking news but it didn’t and that’s a big part of the problem.
Ted Cruz is stumping for Perdue and Loeffler in Georgia. When a reporter asked him to comment about Trump being caught on tape he said he was too focused on the Georgia runoff to care about that.
Citizens for Ethics, a government watchdog group, is investigating Lindsey Graham for meddling in the presidential election by making calls to secretaries of state.
Trump will be giving the Presidential Medal of Freedom to both Devin Nunes and Gym Jordan for their blind dumb thug mob loyalty. This is the nation’s highest civilian honor and it will be given to a couple of mob associates. But of course. As the president of the United States is caught on tape trying to shake down a secretary of state to maintain power, the military issuing a public statement saying it will not go along with the mob, dead bodies piling up all across the country, vaccines sitting on shelves going bad, people hungry and jobless, Beavis and Butthead are getting the highest of civilian honors. But of course.
