The Snake

When Trump was campaigning in 2016, he’d read the poem, “The Snake” to get the MAGA crowd all worked up about hating on immigrants only the poem isn’t about the slithering, double crossing stranger. It’s about him.

“Take me in, tender woman
Take me in, for heaven’s sake
Take me in, tender woman,” sighed the snake
“I saved you,” cried the woman
“And you’ve bitten me, but why?
You know your bite is poisonous and now I’m going to die”
“Oh shut up, silly woman,” said the reptile with a grin
“You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in”

The Supreme Court said they would not hear Ken Paxton’s stupid case. Trump was so mad he blew off his own Christmas party at the White House. The president hates Christmas! He didn’t say, “Merry Christmas!” Hissssssss!!!!

So much for Ken Paxton’s pardon. Trump is pissed. If Ken Paxton is convicted, he could go to jail for life. Now he’s got insurrection on his crimes resume. No pardon for you! Merry Christmassssssssss!

20 more Republicans signed on to Ken Paxton’s demand to overturn the presidential election for a total of 126 traitors — 2/3 of the Republican caucus. Republicans have gone from fighting and blocking Democrats to fighting and blocking democracy. They’re autocrats and want to crown Trump king. They were all elected at the same time that Joe Biden was but they don’t want those elections overturned — just the president’s election. Overthrowing democracy is sedition. A crime. These guys shouldn’t be sworn in and seated in January but they will be because there aren’t any consequences for Trump and the Republicans. They tried to overturn an election to install the candidate who lost! This is so un-American. All of them are white men, except for 8 of the 15 white women in the caucus. There is only one black member of the Republican caucus, Will Hurd, but he didn’t sign. He’s retiring. The snakes are:

King Cobra Devin Nunes, the hypnotzied snake, is not on this list. That’s strange. Maybe it’s because he has something else on his mind like dying from a horrible virus. He was bitten by the poisonous snake and contracted the Trump Plague. That’s what you get when you slither around the snake pit. You find out that the snake charmer will get around to biting you too.

The Republicans are not going to install Trump as King Snake but that won’t stop their voters from believing, most likely for forever, that Joe Biden cheated and they can’t trust the democratic process. This is quite dangerous but Republicans don’t care. They’re scraping the bottom of the snake pit and they’ll keep scraping until their fingers bleed.

“When they say the 2020 election was stolen, Trumpists are expressing their view that the votes of rival constituencies should not count, even though they understand, on some level, that they do. They are declaring that the nation belongs to them and them alone, whether or not they actually comprise a majority, because they are the only real Americans to begin with.” — Adam Serwer

Trumpists knew he was a snake before they voted him in.

Republicans are supposed to be against big government and for personal responsibility but they want to control individuals’ sexuality and size of their families, and force everyone to pray to the same God. They’re supposed to be big on state rights but they just tried to overturn individual states’ election results.

Now we know why all of the Republicans stayed quiet about Russia helping Trump win 4 years ago. They supported it.

Republicans don’t stand for anything. No principles or loyalty to country. Spineless cold blooded reptiles.

“The Republican Party must not just be defeated, it must be destroyed. An American political party that accepts and encourages autocracy and undermines democracy, while pledging fealty to an an autocratic leader as its organizing principle, cannot be rehabilitated nor saved.” — Fernand R. Amandi

39 days until America can cut the head off of the snake.
