They Lied and People Died
A year ago, Trump did one of his daily press conferences in which he reassured his TV audience that everything was fine. He showed a bogus graph on covid numbers that was totally inaccurate, knowing full well that he was going to let people die. He tweeted: The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. We are in contact with everyone and all relevant countries. CDC & World Health have been working hard and very smart. Stock Market starting to look very good to me!
He knew.
Trump lied and people died.
Ohio Republiqan state legislator Diane Grendell said this out loud of Amish people dying of covid in her state — “They’ve culled the herd, so to speak.” She is a conspiracy theorist who believes that the death count has been inflated (except for the Amish — the herd should be culled.) Diane Grendell lied and people died.
Mayor Bowser of Washington DC just lost her older sister to covid.
The Trump Plague made 664 billionaires even richer. Their profit during the pandemic has been $1.3 TRILLION. They’re not paying taxes on it either, thanks to Trump and the Republiqans. Same thing happened when Herbert Hoover was president. Then FDR came along and saved the country by taxing the rich 94% after their income hit $200,000 (that’s about $3 million today.) Republicans hated FDR’s guts but he didn’t care. The debate for him was not whether to tax the rich, but how much. It pissed the rich off but they never felt a thing BECAUSE THEY WERE SO RICH. FDR brought the country came back to life by taking that money and investing it in infrastructure, putting a ton of people back to work. Now those bridges and roads are falling apart and we’ve got a ton of people out of work. Biden needs to do the same thing — tax the rich and create jobs by investing in infrastructure.
Not much has changed since FDR. Republiqans are still greedy bastards. They have been very successful in protecting the rich from having to pay taxes and they don’t want anybody to make $15 minimum wage. That’s too much. So what if people have to work 2 jobs to make $15 an hour.
Joe Biden’s covid relief bill has a 76% approval rating (which includes $15/hour minimum wage) and the Republiqans are against it.
Gym Jordan made a fool of himself during the USPS oversight hearing, accusing Dems of being partisan. This pissed Democratic Congressman Gerry Connolly of Virginia off. He let Gym have it — “I didn’t vote to overturn an election and I will not be lectured by people who did about partisanship!”
Deb Haaland was confirmed as Secretary of the Interior. Republiqan Senator John Kennedy called her a “neo-socialist left-of-Lenin whackjob.” White supremacists in Louisiana love it when he talks like that so that’s why he talks like that.
During the USPS oversight hearing, Louis DeJoy was smug and self assured. He told committee members that he won’t be going anywhere so get used to it. Democratic Congresswoman Cori Bush asked him, “Currently the board includes only white men. Do you see it as a problem that the Board of Governors of the United States Postal Service looks like a millionaire white boys club?”
The Board of Governors won’t be a millionaire white boys club for long. There are 3 vacant seats on the board and Joe Biden plans on filling them with non-millionaire white boys — a former US Postal Service executive, a leading voting rights advocate, and a former postal union leader. Then the board can then fire smug ass DeJoy.
The attack on the Capitol will cost $30 million in repairs and new security.
The FBI is investigating cell phones of those who were inside the Capitol during the attack. Matt Gaetz is very worried. Marjorie Taylor Greene should be worried too. Turns out one of her besties, Anthony Aguero, bragged about being there on social media.
Speaking of Marjorie Taylor Greene, she tried to block the Equality Act to discriminate against the transgender community, which she hates. Congresswoman Marie Newman, mother of a transgender daughter, installed a trans flag right across the hall from Marjorie Taylor Greene’s office. In retaliation, Marjorie put up a large sign across from the flag that read, “There are two genders: male and female. Trust the science.”
Liz Cheney doesn’t want the GQP to be known as the white supremacist party even though everybody is white and they think they’re supreme.
Republiqans are making a big stink about forming a commission to investigate the attack on the Capitol. They want 50% of the commission to be Republiqans.. The problem with that is unlike 9/11, Republiqans weren’t co-conspirators.
Republiqans lied and people died.
