Proud Boys Zachary Rehl, Ethan Nordean, Enrique Tarrio and Joe Biggs have all been found guilty of seditious conspiracy. After nearly 15 weeks of trial and 30 hours of deliberation over a seven day period, the jury agreed that these guys were guilty of trying to overthrow the US government. These idiots saw themselves as Trump’s “army.” They understood his command, “stand back and stand by” during a presidential debate as a call for recruitment and action.
A judge threw out Trump’s lawsuit against his niece, Mary Trump, and the New York Times plus three of its reporters and ordered Trump to pay all of the costs that they all endured for legal fees.
Trump’s legal team has opted not to put on any defense in the E Jean Carroll trial. Her allegations of him raping her will go will go unrefuted but they still expect to win.
A new Tucker text has come out. He sent a text to a producer saying that the violence on January 6 was unbecoming of how “white men” should fight and that he was hoping they would “kill” a kid.
The MAGA Republicans in Congress are still hard at work, trying to prove that the deep state is real. Wacko James Comer, chair of the House Oversight Committee, subpoenaed the FBI for June 2020 documents that supposedly include information on “an alleged criminal scheme involving Joe Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions.”
Fox light, CNN, now owned by a MAGA billionaire, is going to host a town hall for Trump next week. CNN is giving a twice impeached felon who led a coup to try and overthrow the government which resulted in 140 cops injured and 5 dead, and hundreds of convictions and guilty pleas from his MAGA insurrectionist army, a legitimate platform for his run for re-election.
Trump is thriving politically even though he is being tried for rape, financial fraud, and awaiting possible indictment for interfering with the election in Georgia, plus possibly federal charges for trying to overthrow the government.
The Florida legislature has passed an anti-immigrant bill making it a felony to drive with an undocumented person into Florida, even if they’re family. The bill originally included felonies for having an undocumented person in your home or car but that was taken out.
Instead of banning assault rifles in Texas they’re giving third graders battlefield training so they can bandage their classmates up if they get shot.
Test scores in US history and civics for eighth graders have fallen to the lowest levels on record. About 40% of eighth graders scored “below basic” in US history. 13% met proficiency standards for US history. For civics, 22% of students were considered proficient. Since the health of our democracy depends on informed and engaged citizens, this is good news for Republicans.
