Trump is Fucked

Trump’s defense attorney (America v. Trump) and publicist, Bill Barr, gave a press conference and basically said NO COLLUSION and long live the king. Only Trump uses the word, “collusion.” It’s not a legal term. Rod Rosenstein (looking like he was going to puke and pass out) and some other guy stood behind him, but not Bob Mueller, who would normally be there if this was normal. He said the Mueller Report was no big deal and down played Russia influencing our election even though that was what the report was about. He didn’t flat out say that Russia hacked our election when they flat out did. If he was the people’s attorney he would have said that. He didn’t mention any of the people featured in the report who are in jail or who are going to jail. It was a victim impact statement. Trump is the victim. Bill Barr said everybody was mean to him so he reacted. What else could he do? He blamed the media for the president’s obstruction of justice. He said, “There is substantial evidence to show that the President was frustrated and angered by a sincere belief that the investigation was undermining his presidency, propelled by his political opponents, and fueled by illegal leaks.”

Bill Barr gave a press conference, timed to seduce the media and frame the narrative, before he gave the report to Congress and to the public. If he was the people’s attorney he wouldn’t have done that.

Bill Barr has been talking to the White House for weeks. He gave the report to Trump and his attorneys before he gave it to Congress and the public. If he was the people’s attorney he wouldn’t have done that.

Bill Barr is not an independent attorney general. He is not the people’s attorney. He is Trump’s attorney, paid for by the people.

At the end of his closing argument a reporter asked, “Is it an impropriety for you to come out and sort of, what appears to be, sort of, spinning the report before the public gets a chance to read it?” Barr said “no,” and walked away.

As soon as he dropped the mic, Nancy and Chuck released a joint statement calling for Mueller to testify before Congress “as soon as possible.” Nancy said, “The only way to begin restoring public trust in the handling of the Special Counsel’s investigation is for Special Counsel Mueller himself to provide public testimony.”

Congressman Jerry Nadler, Chair of the Judiciary Committee, did his own press conference several hours later. He called Barr out for undermining the justice department. He said he was pretty much full of shit. Now he’ll have to testify before the Judiciary Committee on May 2. He asked Mueller to testify ASAP. He said it is now the responsibility of Congress to decide what to do about Trump. Impeachment is one possibility, he said, but he has to see the full report first.

The actual report is really, really bad for Trump. It’s really bad for Bill Barr, too, because he’s covering for Trump and he’s supposed to be a impartial. Bill Barr is compromised and should be impeached.

Trump is fucked.

Mueller nailed him, but he couldn’t jail him, so he gave it to Congress.

Too many people lied to Mueller in their testimonies which materially impaired the investigation. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is one of them.

Since it’s been a rule that you can’t indict a sitting president, Mueller didn’t subpoena Trump. He sent him written questions for him to answer instead. There were 37 instances that Trump answered, “I do not recall.”

Trump promised everybody who got busted that he’d take care of them.

Trump tried to influence the Paul Manafort jury.

The Russian military attacked Hillary Clinton’s campaign and then Trump publicly used the stolen information, “Russia, if you’re listening……”

Trump told the White House Counsel, Don McGahn, to call Rod Rosenstein and tell him to fire Jim Comey and Bob Mueller and to get Jeff Sessions to unrecuse himself. Dan McGahn freaked out. “It was like the Saturday Night Massacre,” he said, “Trump asked me to do crazy shit.” He packed his stuff and said he was going to resign but Chief of Staff Reince Priebus talked him out of it.

Trump was unsuccessful at committing obstruction because his aides didn’t carry out his orders which means he still tried so he’s guilty of obstructing justice.

Trump’s public comments can be considered as obstruction efforts because of his power.

Russia helped Trump win. If he were a real president he would have directed the Department of Justice to investigate Russia hacking our election. But he’s not a real president so he won’t. If he ordered an investigation that would mean he would be admitting that he is not a legitimate president and he’s never going to do that. Narcissists don’t ever do that.

The Mueller report is about political corruption and the obstruction of justice by the President of the United States. The evidence was not sufficient to press criminal charges because Trump wouldn’t cooperate, witnesses lied, and no one knows whether or not a sitting president can be indicted, so Mueller lined everything up to pass over to Congress. The Mueller Report is a road map to impeachment.

Trump is a criminal.

In his own words, Trump summarized the Mueller investigation:

“Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my Presidency. I’m fucked.”
