Trump the Chump
Eric and Junior will testify in the Trump civil case in the next two days. Ivanka will testify next week, after Trump. The last time the Trump kids were scheduled to testify, Ivana Trump, their mom and Trump’s first wife, who was also going to testify, mysteriously fell down some stairs and died. She’s buried on the first tee of Trump’s golf course in New Jersey.
Mike Pence dropped out of the presidential race. Will he endorse Trump now since he was so hopelessly devoted to him while he was his lap dog vice president? But then again, he is free now to be a cooperating witness……
There is a civil trial going on in Colorado right now where 6 voters (4 Republicans and 2 Independents) brought a case against Trump which says he shouldn’t be allowed to be on the state ballot because he was part of an insurrection per the 14th amendment. Congressman Eric Swalwell testified about what he endured on January 6 when he and the rest of Congress were trapped in the Capitol, fearing for their lives. A similar case was dismissed in Florida. If this case is successful in Colorado, other states could follow.
Former Republican congressman, Adam Kinzinger, one of two members of the House of Representatives who didn’t go along with the Big Lie and called Trump out, said on CNN that, despite being a traditional Republican, he voted for Democrats in 2022 and that he’ll do it again in 2024 if Trump is on the ballot. Country before party (Trump).
Trump threatened Biden with some sort of payback, right after the judge gagged him again. He keeps pushing his luck. Maybe he wants the judge to throw his ass in jail so his cult followers will raise hell.
Insurrectionist court cases are up to 1,200 far. One defendant, Vitali GossJankowski, who is facing several charges related to attack on the Capitol and was back in court because prosecutors wanted him to be jailed until trial because he has been posting threats and doxing prosecutors online. He flipped out in the courtroom and knocked a podium, table and some equipment over. It took several agents to wrestle him down and get him under control so he could be cuffed and hauled off to jail because he’s a really big guy.
The auto workers strike is over and the workers won! Workers who earn $32 an hour will make $40 an hour and more for pensions. Those who make less will see their incomes double over a few years. This is a big boost to the middle class in Detroit and Flint Michigan. The whole community benefits from this win. Go union! Striking at 3 auto makers at once threw the bosses off balance. There were 38 plants across 20 states that were impacted. The new president of the United Auto Works union, Shawn Fain, doesn’t mess around. He’s aggressive, strategic and effective. Nonunion plants could get spooked that their workers might want to organize and join the UAW so the bosses may be proactive and give their workers raises so they won’t.
The Australian billionaire, Anthony Pratt, the guy that Trump gave military secrets to regarding nuclear submarines, spent $1 million to attend a New Year’s gala at Mar-a-Lago. Tickets were only $50,000 but he gave Trump a nice tip so he could have access to the president of the United States which ultimately helped his business in America with publicity and tax cuts. He opened a manufacturing plant in Ohio. He got so much in tax cuts that he saw a profit of $2 billion. Pratt said hanging out with Trump was like being in the mafia.
Trump has been telling his followers at his rallies that he wants the DC trial to be televised so everybody could see how unfairly he’s being treated. Judge Chutkan called his bluff and gave him until November 10 to say yes or no to letting his trial be televised. Will the former Reality TV president grab the opportunity to be a reality TV martyr while garnering all that free TV time for his campaign or will he say no because he doesn’t want people to see what a criminal and fraud he is?
