Trump’s Cake is Toast
Judge Raymond Dearie, the special master appointed to oversee the seized Mar-a-Lago documents, is a former chief judge of the federal court in the Eastern District of New York. He was appointed by former President Reagan in 1986. He told Trump’s legal team to be at his office yesterday and come prepared to show him the evidence that Trump declassified documents. They told him no. Judge Dearie replied, “If the government gives me prima facia evidence that they are classified documents, and you don’t advance any claim of declassification, I’m left with a prima facia case of classified documents, and as far as I’m concerned, that’s the end of it…….You can’t have your cake and eat it too.”
Tom Barrack’s trial is this week. He stands charged not only with acting as an unregistered foreign agent acting on orders of foreign rulers but also with obstructing justice and lying to the FBI. He sold access and influence to Trump to the Middle East.

Attorney General of the State of New York, Letitia James just finished a press conference where she announced that she is suing Trump and the Trump Organization to seek the end to their business in the state and $250 million in relief. She is also referring evidence of bank fraud to federal investigators at the Southern District of New York and evidence of tax fraud to the IRS. “Today, I filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump for engaging in years of financial fraud to enrich himself, his family, and the Trump Organization. There aren’t two sets of laws for people in this nation: former presidents must be held to the same standards as everyday Americans.” Her complaint is 180 pages long and covers the period between 2011–2021. Trump not only lied about how rich he was to get loans, he lied in the opposite direction it to get out of paying taxes. “Trump falsely inflated his net worth by billions of dollars to unjustly enrich himself and to cheat the system, thereby cheating all of us.”
Letitia James is asking a judge to revoke the Trump Organization’s business certificate so he can’t do business in New York. She is also seeking to permanently bar Trump, Junior, Ivanka and Eric from serving as officers or directors of any business entity in New York, including the family company, and is requesting a 5 year ban on Trump and the company from acquiring real estate in New York or applying for loans from any New York based company.
The complaint accuses the company of more than 200 instances of false asset valuations. Mar-a-Lago was valued as high as $739 million, but should have been valued at around $75 million. Trump Park Avenue apartments, collectively worth $750,000, were valued at nearly $50 million.
“Claiming you have money you do not have does not amount to the art of the deal, it’s the art of the steal,” Letitia James said.
It took 3 years, and the examination of over 1 million pages of documents, and subpoenas to dozens of current and former executives working for the Trump Organization and other companies, but the end result is that this is the end of Trump’s business empire.
