Lauren Boebert cancelled her first town hall over “security threats” which is ironic since she campaigned on being her own security and is ready to 2nd amendment anybody that messes with her. The real story is she doesn’t want to have to face pissed off constituents who didn’t vote for her who are mad about all the negative attention Colorado is getting for electing an under educated gun nut. Meanwhile Marjorie Taylor Greene is all pumped up after working out at the gym she owns, firing off a few rounds at libtard targets at the shooting range, dialing in to Q, saying her prayers to Republican Jesus and talking to Trump. He has blessed her with his infamous thumbs up.
Trump’s DC hotel is empty now because to tell the truth, staying there no longer pays off.
Anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers who refuse to let anybody tell them what to do closed down the immunization site at LA’s Dodgers Stadium for a couple of hours yesterday to tell everybody what to do. Protesters carried signs such as “Save Your Soul TURN BACK NOW,” “CNN IS LYING TO YOU,” “RECALL GAVIN NEWSOM,” and “TAKE OFF YOUR MASK.” People had been waiting in their cars for hours anxiously awaiting their vaccine after waiting for nearly a year only to be confronted by QAnon weirdos who wouldn’t acknowledge the truth if it was staring them straight in the face which it is.
Trump finally suckered some attorneys to represent him in his Senate trial and now 5 have already dropped out because he wants them to argue that the election was rigged against him instead of why he shouldn’t be impeached for insurrection after he’s already left office. He may be stuck with Rudy again or he’ll have to represent himself. Won’t matter. Like the last time, Republicans have already decided to vote to acquit before the trial, proving yet again that they care nothing about democracy, the country, or the truth.
Republicans and MAGAs are whining that Trump should be left alone since he’s out of office but. continue to chant “Lock her up!” about Hillary.
The latest in the January 6 coup: Trump, Alex Jones, and Julia Jenkins Fancelli, the Publix heiress, all financed the insurrection and 20% of the arrested rioters are known to be current or former members of the military including a former Navy SEAL and a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel. It’s looking more and more coordinated as the truth comes out.
The latest on racism in America: The family of Darrell Semien, a sheriff’s deputy who just died from cancer, was denied service at a cemetery in Louisiana because it’s for whites only. The South Carolina GOP censured one of their congress members for voting to impeach Trump. In Alabama a MAGA in his red hat AND a matching MAGA red t-shirt refused to put on a mask in a store and then threatened to kill people so the store had to go on lockdown. In Ohio, Republican lawmaker, Stephen Huffman, was chosen to lead the state Senate’s health panel after asking last year if the “colored population” was more susceptible to catching Covid because they “do not wash their hands as well as other groups.”
We wouldn’t have white supremacists packing Congress and packing in Congress representing white supremacist constituents if we had been teaching the truth in schools all along. By teaching kids that colonialization was a good thing, that Christopher Columbus was a hero and that Indians welcomed Europeans and fed them, then skipping slavery altogether, too many Americans don’t understand that 2 significant chapters in American history have been erased to benefit white supremacy.
We’re at the part in the “fascism comes to America” story when we no longer have 2 political parties, just 2 sides — one side is pro-democracy and America and the other is not.
So far, the mainstream media is lazily covering President Biden’s call for unity as “bipartisan” politics as if the GOP was still a legitimate political party. Instead, they should be covering Biden’s efforts as fruitless because America doesn’t negotiate with terrorists. The truth is, the rapid breakdown of the Republican Party into fascism is the story, not business as usual on Capitol Hill.
New rule — the mainstream media has to stop prioritizing “balance” over the truth. Don’t give the nut jobs, spinners, and blatant liars a platform to spew propaganda. Dig at the truth and report on that. That is, after all, their job.
