The Truth Will Set Us Free
President Biden has already done more in 36 hours than Trump did in 4 years. He had to start from scratch with a federal response to the coronavirus because Trump hadn’t done anything. There was no plan. The task force was all for show. He left us all to fend for ourselves without a national strategy. President Biden addressed the nation and told that truth which is that things will get worse before they will get better. It will take months, but the Trump Plague will be defeated. He announced his own task force with a strategy that is based on truth, not denial, and science, not politics. His goal is to vaccinate 100 million people in 100 days. He has directed FEMA to set up vaccination centers and give more federal support to pharmacies. Every state governor will have their own White House contact to work with. States will be refunded for having to pay for the National Guard to help. Masks will be mandated for air travel. This is a war time effort. Trump bragged that he was a wartime president. Not true. He started the wars and left them for Joe Biden to fight. More people have died from the coronavirus than did in WWII. This is a national emergency and needs to be treated as such. President Biden signed 10 executive orders to put his plan into action. He’s got extremely competent people working on this. His chief of staff, Ron Klain, has already done this during the Obama administration with ebola.
At Nancy Pelosi’s weekly press briefing she said there was no question that members of congress were involved in the attack on the Capitol and that they will be punished. She ended by saying, “What a difference a day makes.”
Dr. Fauci spoke to the press and was free to speak the truth openly without the threat of retaliation. One of the reporters asked about him joking about the differences between the Trump and Biden administrations and he answered, “I wasn’t joking,” and then laughed.
Republicans haven’t changed. No remorse. No course correction. No willingness to work with Dems. They’re pretending that Trump and the attack on the Capitol never happened. They still refuse to tell their voters the truth which is Joe Biden won the election.
Truth or consequences mother fuckers.
Mitch McConnell is playing truth or dare with Chuck Schumer and is filibustering to keep the filibuster so the Republicans can maintain power. He wants control of the impeachment trial even though he isn’t the majority leader anymore. He wants to maintain his power so that he can prevent the Senate from voting on things that are very popular with the public.
Ron Johnson is being his usual vile self. He told Joe Biden to choose between impeachment or his cabinet and tweeted: Democrats can’t have it both ways: an unconstitutional impeachment trial & Senate confirmation of the Biden admin’s national security team. They need to choose between being vindictive or staffing the administration to keep the nation safe. What will it be: revenge or security?
Democrats vindictive? HA HA HA HA! Which is it, bleeding heart, government is your friend, socialist loving libtards or calculating slayers of revenge? Can’t be both, Ron.
Republicans say we can get through the division and anger in the country by understanding the 74 million who voted for a Nazi. Um, no. Truth be told, bleeding heart libtards want nothing to do with Nazis.
While the Republicans resort to their old dirty tricks and try and pretend like Trump and the attack on the Capitol never happened, they must figure out what to do with the newbies in their party who are armed and dangerous and believe in conspiracy theories.
Andy Biggs and Lauren Boebert set off the metal detectors and refused to comply with Capitol Police. Andy Harris brought his gun and tried to take into the chamber.
Matt Gaetz tweeted: They’re trying to disarm @laurenboebert on the floor of the House of Representatives because, ultimately, they’re coming to disarm many, many more.
Many MORE? If Republicans had done the right thing with gun legislation there wouldn’t be so many dead children and members of Congress wouldn’t be packing in the Capitol.
Marjorie Taylor Greene filed Articles of Impeachment on President Biden. CNN’s Daniel Dale sent her office a list of his fact check findings and invited her to comment on any of them. Her communications director wrote back, “Here’s our comment: ‘CNN is fake news.’” Marjorie Taylor Greene believes that 9–11 was done by the US government and that Sandy Hook and other school shootings never happened. The Parkland survivors are demanding she resign. March for Our Lives co-founder, David Hogg said, “If you spread conspiracies about mass shootings there should be no place for you in congress.”
Republicans opened the way for gun nuts to overtake the Capitol.
7 Democratic senators (Sheldon Whitehouse, Ron Wyden, Tina Smith, Richard Blumenthal, Mazie Hirono, Tim Kaine, Sherrod Brown) have formally filed a complaint with the Senate Ethics Committee to investigate Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley’s involvement in the Capitol attack. Josh Hawley says he’s not going anywhere. “Joe Biden and the Democrats talk about unity but are brazenly trying to silence dissent. Missourians will not be cancelled by these partisan attacks.”
Michael Flynn’s brother, Lt. Gen. Charles A. Flynn, was in the room when the decision was made to not call in the National Guard when US citizens overtook the Capitol Police on January 6. The Army has been denying this for 2 weeks. Why not tell the truth?
The news was so boring on President Biden’s second day because of all of the work going on and no drama that there was time to cover Bernie’s mittens on all of the reputable news networks. Except for Fox. They’re saying that Joe Biden is accusing of them being white supremacists. The truth hurts.
