Trump showed up in court yesterday with big blisters on the palm of his right hand (ewww…..) for jury selection for the second E. Jean Carroll defamation trial. He showed up to intimidate the potential jurors who will decide how much more he has to pay E. Jean Carroll for defaming her a second time. He sat a couple rows behind E. Jean Carroll to creep her out. He showed up again today and has been alternating between muttering loudly and slamming his hand on the counsel’s table and posting typical juvenile BS on social media. While the jury was out, the judge told him to cut it out. “Before we bring in the jury I’m just going to ask Mr. Trump to take special care to keep his voice down so the jury does not overhear it.” That’s why he’s doing it. He wants to be overheard. He’s playing for the audience which is the jury and reporters in the room.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has been serving as a surrogate for Trump on the campaign trail. She told a bunch of farmers in Iowa who depend on immigrants to work their fields that she “can’t wait to see” Trump enact his plan of mass detention camps for immigrants, rounding up millions of Latinos. The crowd CLAPPED.

For the first time in history a Democratic candidate for president, Joe Biden, raised more than $97 million in the first 3 months of his re-election campaign. Obama raised $68 million in the first 3 months of his re-election campaign. Trump raised $154 million in the first 3 months of his re-election campaign in 2020 and he lost.

The Biden administration is getting rid of outrageous bank overdraft fees. Under a new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau rule, overdraft fees at large banks will be strictly regulated and capped as low as $3. The projected savings for regular people who bounce checks at the grocery store is $3.5 billion.

Biden has found a work around for student loan forgiveness. He is chipping away at various pools of debt by being creative. Since the Republicans sued him for forgiving student loan debt for millions of borrowers and then the Supreme Court shut him down, he put a task force of lawyers together to find ways to help those strapped with federal student loans by finding legals ways around the Republicans and the Supreme Court, one sub-group at a time. Borrowers will get their relief, a little at a time but don’t tell the Republicans. Keep them busy impeaching the Bidens and pounding their chests about the border.

Here’s the thing that shitty people who are opposed to student loan forgiveness don’t understand. The amount saved every month by not having to pay that loan will make a huge difference to the people who get the relief because they’ll spend it. What they paid every month towards that loan will be spent right away meaning the money will go right back into the economy, benefitting everyone. They won’t hoard the savings like rich people do, which benefits nobody but the hoarders.

High school dropout Lauren Boebert is dead set against student loan forgiveness even though it would benefit 87,500 of her constituents.

The Dems flipped a state house seat from red to blue in a special election in Orlando, Florida. Democrat Tom Keen beat Republicain Erika Booth. Ron DeSantis won that district by ELEVEN points in 2022.

The 3 judges on the appeals panel of the DC circuit court of appeals for Trump’s criminal trial are all women — 1 White, 1 Asian, 1 Black. In St Paul, the capital of Minnesota, the new city council members were sworn in and they are all women. 6 out of the 7 are women of color, and they’re all under the age of 40.

The good news is that more and more women are getting elected and appointed to local, state, and federal positions. Many are young and women of color which means progress, progress, progress. The bad news is that two ton hooter Republicans don’t want progress and they do not want to relinquish their power and move over to make room for more women of color. They want two ton hooter white men to run everything now and forever. They aren’t going to politely and respectfully make space for progress. Not without a huge fight.

So fight.
