Really good news for Democrats — there were two special elections yesterday and the Democrats won in both races. Tom Suozzi reclaimed his seat in New York and another Dem won in a state house election in Pennsylvania.

Democrats winning in a special election during a presidential election year is a very good sign for Biden, especially since the other guy is Trump. Voters aren’t having it, which is great, and Trump is probably going to be convicted which is great, but that’s not going to do much for the country’s collective blood pressure. We’re all going to be a nervous wreck until the election is over in November. What that guy has put this country through in the past 8 years is unforgiveable. We’ll never be the same.

Mike Johnson put a second vote to the floor to impeach Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, last night before the Dem won. The vote was 214 to 213. The new Dem would have meant it would have been tied. There is no evidence that Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas deserved to be impeached. He’s been doing his job. They did this for political reasons as the border could end up being the only issue they run on. It’s just a game to the Republicans in the House. A week ago the Republicans got everything they wanted on the border and immigration in the bipartisan bill in the Senate and the House killed it. The Senate worked really hard on that bill, Republicans and Democrats working together like the system is designed to be and the MAGAs in the House killed it. What the MAGAs in the House did and will continue to do, is unforgiveable.

Republicans won’t impeach you for inciting an insurrection or extortion, but they will impeach you if they think it will help them win a presidential election.

Marjorie Taylor Green and Andy Biggs were 2 of the impeachment managers. They were also 2 of the members of Congress who helped with the insurrection. After Trump’s trials, they’ll be next. What they did was unforgiveable.

Lara Trump says if she is elected co-chair of the Republican National Committee that “every single penny” of party funding will be spent on her mob boss father in law, Trump.

In the misogynist state of Florida, a bill passed in the house that would outlaw “baby boxes,” an anonymous way for a woman who can’t keep their babies to surrender them safely. Florida forces women to have babies but making it harder for women to choose adoption. Why? Because male state legislators are punishing women for being women.

In Texas, a lawyer who poisoned his wife with abortion pills because he didn’t want a third child was sentenced to 180 days in jail. If the situation had been reversed and it was the wife who took the abortion pills, she’d be thrown in jail forever for attempted murder. Unforgiveable.

In Missouri, a Republican state senator and candidate for governor, Bill Eigel is against abortion, even for child rape victims. He blames Democrats for trying to “bring back the institution of abortion so kids can get abortions. A one year old could get an abortion under this.” State lawmakers are right along there with him. They view rape as God’s will, forced birth as a healing balm, and women as livestock.

There isn’t a Democratic candidate running for secretary of state in Missouri. One of the Republican candidates is running on book banning. She posted a video of herself lighting library books on fire with a do it yourself flame thrower.

It’s the 6 year anniversary of the school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. There have been 34 school shootings since then. 102 kids have been killed and 59 injured because Republicans not only refuse to do anything about school shootings, they glorify and salute the weapon that is used in most shootings. They care more about the made-up crisis at the border and Biden’s age than they do about our kids getting slaughtered at school.

That’s what you are
So severe and bizarre

Like a song of hate that clings to me
How the thought of you does sadistic things to me
Never before
Has someone been more

In every way
And forevermore
That’s how you’ll stay

That’s why harming is so incredible
And that someone so unforgiveable
Thinks that I am unforgiveable, too
