What A Difference Democratic Presidents Make

Trump’s taxes were released and now the public knows for certain that Trump not only cheats on his taxes, but he’s not a billionaire. His worst fear all along has been that he’d be found out for not being as rich as he says he is. The big secret is out. He’s not as rich as he says he is, plus he’s a lying cheat and a crummy businessman.

Trump reported tens of millions in losses in income in 2015, 2016, and 2017. He only paid $1.1 million for the first 3 years of his presidency. He made money in his second and third year but lost money in his final year and paid $0 in taxes that final year due to the tax law that he and Republicans passed which gave millionaires and billionaires the gift of not having to pay federal income tax. Where did all the money go that he got from foreign governments and rich people for access, favors and bribes? The Trump Organization under the guise of “business” (which was just found guilty of several charges including not paying taxes), his inauguration fund, and his presidential campaigns and Super PACs.

The public now knows that the IRS never audited Trump either, which they are automatically supposed to do for every president and vice president. That’s because Trump put Charles Rettig in charge of the IRS and Steve Mnuchin in charge of Charles Rettig. Trump corrupted the IRS to benefit himself.

The release of the Select Committee’s final report was delayed because of an issue with a printer (the National Archives is supposed to receive a printed copy before anything gets released to the public) and Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, made his first visit to the US since Russia invaded 10 months ago to thank President Biden, Congress, and the American people for their support.

A war time president came to Washington DC on the 300th day of war. Volodymyr Zelensky has refused to yield to Putin during this whole time which has debilitated the Russian military and humiliated Putin. Standing up to Putin has made him an international hero. He made a speech to a joint session of Congress and received several standing ovations. He presented Congress with a Ukrainian battle flag signed by soldiers in Bakhmut. Speaker Nancy Pelosi gave him a US flag that had flown over the Capitol in return.

During President Zelensky’s speech he said, “Your money is not charity. It’s an investment in the global security and democracy that we handle in the most responsible way…..We defeated Russia in the battle for minds of the world. We have no fear, nor should anyone in the world have it. Ukrainians gained this victory, and it gives us courage which inspires the entire world.”

The Ukrainians are basically stopping WWIII (which could be nuclear) by fighting Russia on the world’s behalf. Ukraine is showing the world that democracy, for all its imperfections, is far better than authoritarianism.

Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert made fools of themselves during the speech, as usual. They sat next to each other (they’re fighting with Marjorie Taylor Greene at the moment) and never stood or clapped. They just sat and scrolled their phones like a couple of shitty teenagers.

The delay of the release of the Select Committee’s final report isn’t a conspiracy. Remember when Trump’s attorney general, Bill Barr, held on to the Mueller Report and wouldn’t let Congress see it for a long time and then right before everybody was supposed to go home for the holidays he released his own summary and tainted the public’s view of the report so they wouldn’t read it? That’s not what’s happening here. It’s the fault of a faulty government printer. It should be out soon. In the meantime, you can read the testimonies of 34 witnesses online right now. Transcripts of Stewart Rhodes, Roger Stone, Phil Waldron, Jeffrey Clark, Jenna Ellis, Enrique Tarrio, John Eastman, Michael Flynn, Nick Fuentes, Alex Jones, and Kelli Ward, and more can be read on the Select Committee’s website (click here.) Don’t play the drinking game with this, though. You’ll kill yourself while reading the first testimony if you do a shot every time they take the fifth.

Sean Hannity didn’t take the fifth when he was asked during a deposition for Dominion’s defamation lawsuit about Trump’s claims of election fraud. He admitted that he didn’t believe anything he himself said on his Fox show night after night about election fraud. “I did not believe it for one second.”

Now what? The show must go on. Lying about election fraud is no different than lying about everything else Sean Hannity lies about night after night.
